The development and practical applications of multifunctional organic fluorophores have garnered significant attention in translational research in recent years. Among the fluorophores, nitrobenzodioxazole (NBD) has been widely used in various fields due to its small size and neutral character, both of which are advantageous for biorelated applications. However, NBD presents some limitations, including (1) suboptimal photophysical properties for in vivo applications and (2) its monofunctional nature, which restricts its use in fluorescence-based bioimaging and sensing.

The propagation of the curing front is driven by the exothermic polymerization of dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), which transforms the liquid resin into a stiff polymer as it propagates at 1 mm s. GP is triggered when a heated initiator contacts the uncured liquid resin in an open container.

Diamond-Blackfan Anemia (DBA) is a rare congenital disorder characterized by macrocytic anemia, physical abnormalities, and growth delays. Although RPS19 mutations have been more extensively studied in DBA compared to other ribosomal protein genes, the pathological mechanisms of genes such as RPS17 remain largely unexplored. This study aimed to investigate the role of RPS17 haploinsufficiency in DBA, focusing on its downstream effects on erythropoiesis and the involvement of SLC4A1, a critical erythrocyte membrane protein essential for red blood cell stability.

Methods: Study I was a cross-sectional study which compared endothelial function between individuals with PASC (n = 29, mean age 22.9 ± 3.
(AM), which belongs to the daisy family Asteraceae, has a longstanding traditional use in Europe and North America for pain and inflammation treatment. This study investigates the inhibitory effects of ' extract hydrogel patch (AHP)' on Carrageenan-induced paw edema and hot plate-induced pain models. AHP exhibited transdermal permeability without the occurrence of issues like crystal precipitation.

While amiodarone is mainly used in patients with structural heart disease, its effects on all-cause mortality compared to other AADs remain unclear. This study utilized nationwide healthcare insurance data involving patients with new-onset AF from 2013 to 2019.

Dysregulation of the ATX/LPA axis promotes inflammation and disease progression. BMP-22, a lipid ATX inhibitor, effectively reduces LPA production.

This study aimed to develop a novel lung allocation score (LAS) system, the MaxBenefit LAS, to maximize transplant benefits.
Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed data from the Korean Network for Organ Sharing database, including 1,599 lung transplant candidates between September 2009 and December 2020.
Current therapeutic approaches for volumetric muscle loss (VML) face challenges owing to limited graft availability and insufficient bioactivity. Three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting has become an alternative technology for fabricating native tissue-mimetic grafts, allowing for tailored structures and complex designs. We developed an Mg-incorporated bioink composed of thiolated gelatin (GtnSH) and maleimide-conjugated gelatin (GtnMI) decorated with magnesium peroxide (MgO), referred to as a GtnSH/GtnMI/MgO bioink.

However, existing brain disease registries face limitations such as incomplete variable sets, lack of standardization, insufficient linkage to external databases, absence of integrated platforms for comprehensive data collection, and lack of continuity. To address these challenges, the Korea National Institute of Health initiated the Brain disease Research Infrastructure for Data Gathering and Exploration (BRIDGE), a national prospective platform designed to overcome the shortcomings of current registries.

This study aims to explore the relationship between postoperative changes in serum cholesterol levels and the development of lymphedema.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed breast cancer patients who underwent surgery between March 2014 and March 2019.
Raynaud's phenomenon is a vascular condition characterized by episodic vasoconstriction, and recent reports suggest a potential link between calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) inhibitors, used for migraine treatment, and the onset of this condition. This study evaluated the association between CGRP inhibitors and Raynaud's phenomenon using data from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS). A retrospective analysis of adverse events from the approval year of each drug through August 2023 was conducted.

We aimed to investigate the anti-fibrotic effect of a novel 11β-HSD1 inhibitor in a thioacetamide (TAA)-induced liver fibrosis mouse model. Mice were administered TAA for 19 weeks and treated with 11β-HSD1 inhibitor for the last 9 weeks.

The CeGdO solid solution was synthesized using hydrothermal (HY) and solid-state (SS) procedures to produce high-quality GDC nanoparticles suitable for EPD fabrication. The crystalline structure, cell parameters, and phases of the GDC products were analyzed using X-ray diffraction.

Membrane-based gas separation offers a promising alternative route to energy-intensive industrial gas separation processes. Conventional microporous membranes often exhibit low gas selectivities for gases with similar kinetic diameters, primarily due to large pore sizes and reliance on Knudsen selectivity. In this study, we present self-assembled gold nanoparticle (Au NP) membranes that enable molecular gas separation within the kinetic diameter range of small gases such as H, CO, and O.

Recently, autologous T cells modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19 showed a positive response in clinical studies for hematologic malignancies and have begun to be used in clinical practice. This article discusses the current status and promise of ACT research in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), focusing on challenges in off-the-shelf ACT using primary cells or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) with or without genetic engineering.
