  • The Patient-Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM) is a self-assessment tool that quantifies the severity of atopic dermatitis (AD) on a scale of 0-28 points.
  • A study involving 329 patients found that the POEM scores were not influenced by the presence of other allergic conditions, like asthma or food allergies.
  • The established severity banding for POEM scores in online surveys aligns with previous classifications, suggesting POEM remains an effective way to assess AD severity even in digital formats.

Objective: This study investigated the relationship between serum TARC levels and the dosage of topical agents, including corticosteroids and/or tacrolimus, in patients with AD.
