The blood-brain barrier (BBB) and the immunosuppressive microenvironment of glioblastoma (GBM) severely hinder the infiltration and activity of natural killer (NK) cells, thereby reducing their clinical efficacy in GBM treatment. To address this challenge, we introduced an engineered living material, HEFDS-NK cells, designed to enhance the penetration of NK cells across the BBB and improve their cytotoxicity against GBM. HEFDS comprises magnetic nanoparticles modified using cationic polyethylenimine (PEI), selenocysteine (Sec), and sodium hyaluronate (HA) and cocultured with NK cells to form HEFDS-NK cells.

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis assessed the effects of three types of physical exercise (resistance exercise, aerobic exercise, and group exercise), different exercise intervention times (3 months, 6 months), and different exercise intensities (low, moderate, and high) on the improvement of depressive symptoms in older adults aged ≥60 years, as well as to explore the impact of the sustainability of these physical exercise intervention programs on depressive symptoms in older adults.
Methods: The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the effect of physical exercise on depressive symptoms in older adults were retrieved from Cochrane Library, Web of Science, PubMed, and Embase Data. The retrieval time limit is from establishing the database to January 7, 2024.

This study aims to examine the geographical variation in physical fitness levels among Chinese children and adolescents in Shaanxi province. A total of 19,175 children from Shaanxi province with physical fitness data in 2019, participated in the study. Physical fitness was assessed using body mass index, force vital capacity, 50 m sprint, sit and reach, 1 min rope skipping, sit-ups, 50 m × 8 round-trip running, standing long jump, pull-ups, 800 m, and 1000 m running, and their standardized scores were aggregated to form a summary score.

Unlabelled: The objective of this study was to assess the concurrent validity of the Kunwei force plate system in relation to variables during a counter-movement jump (CMJ) task, in comparison to the Kistler in-ground force plate system, which is considered the "gold standard".
Methods: In a single testing session, the Kunwei force plates were placed directly on top of the in-ground Kistler force plate. This allowed for the simultaneous collection of vertical ground reaction forces from 30 participants (male, age = 22.
Background: Methamphetamine use disorder (MUD) is a global health problem. Studies have shown Tai Chi is a potential treatment for MUD. We aimed to explore the effectiveness of Tai Chi in improving drug cravings, attention bias, and physical fitness in men with MUD compared with aerobic exercise.

The precise deployment of drugs at the tumor site is expected to alleviate this phenomenon. Here, we take endostatin and Her2 (+) tumors as examples and develop an intelligent drug with simple "wisdom" by endowing mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with an intelligent response program (iMSC).

We present a novel, compact image encoder, DD-TinyViT, designed to enhance segmentation efficiency through an innovative parameter tuning method called med-adapter. The lightweight DD-TinyViT encoder is derived from the well-known ViT-H using a decoupled distillation approach.

Here, we designed an intelligent biomimetic nanoenzymes carrier platform (MSC) that endows the carrier platform with "wisdom" by introducing Affibody-Notch(core)-VP64-GAL4/UAS-HSV-TK artificial signal pathways to mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). This intelligent nanoenzymes carrier platform is distinguished from the traditional targeting tumor microenvironment or enhancing affinity with tumor, which endue MSC with tumor signal recognition capacity, so that MSC can autonomously distinguish tumor from normal tissue cells and feedback edited instructions.

This study intends to investigate changes in the physical fitness of students aged 6-22 during the COVID-19 pandemic and to assess how the pandemic lockdown period affected these markers.
Methods: According to the National Student Physical Health Standard, a stratified cluster sampling method was used to evaluate the body shape, body function, and physical fitness of children and adolescents (n = 8092) in Xi'an from 2019 to 2021.
The conservative treatment for Kohler's disease will take several months, but some patients still have flatfoot and persistent pain. From October 2013 to July 2015, 3 children with Kohler's disease underwent navicular decompression and micro-circulation reconstruction surgery in our hospital. All the patients have received conservative treatment for more than 3 months and the effect was poor.

Recent clinical results have confirmed that mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based therapies are safe and effective for the treatment of diabetes. However, the effect and potential mechanism through which MSC transplantation improves diabetes-derived male reproductive dysfunction are still unknown.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy and dosimetric outcomes of automatic contouring and identify the key areas for modification.
Methods: A total of 125 oART fractions from five postoperative cervical cancer patients and 140 oART fractions from five uterine cervical cancer patients treated with daily iCBCT-guided oART were enrolled in this prospective study.
Background: The majority of published literature clinically assesses surgical outcomes after lower limb replantation for traumatic amputations. However, patients' satisfaction and quality of life may not be accurately measured through rigid scoring using standardized patient reported outcome measures.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to qualitatively assess patient satisfaction and factors associated with achieving good outcomes after successful lower limb replantation surgery.

Despite this recognition, the precise role of hypoxia-related long noncoding RNAs (HRLs) in the pathogenesis of CM remains an area of active research. This study sought to elucidate the contribution of HRLs in CM by conducting a thorough screening and extraction of hypoxia-related genes (HRGs).

Methods: A finite element model of the T11-L3 thoracolumbar segment was established to simulate L1 vertebral burst fractures, and 6 models were conducted under multidirectional loading conditions: P2-D2, P1-D1, P2-D1,P1-D, P1-BF-D1, and P1-UF-D1. The range of motion (ROM) in the T12-L2 region and the von Mises stresses of pedicle screws and rods under the 6 internal fixation models were mainly analyzed.

MSC-derived serum-free conditioned medium (MSC-CM) is defined as the secretome of MSC-derived bioactive factors and is considered a new cell-free therapeutic agent for disease treatment. However, the MSC-CM used in previous studies was prepared by a nearly disposable method that the MSCs were discarded after preparing MSC-CM, and the preparation time was variable; simultaneously, the viability changes of MSCs after MSC-CM preparation are still unknown.
