Carbapenem-resistant (CRE) are a global health threat due to their high morbidity and mortality rates and limited treatment options. This study examines the plasmid-mediated transmission of virulence and antibiotic resistance determinants in carbapenem-resistant () and () isolated from Russian hospitals. : We performed short- and long-read whole-genome sequencing of 53 clinical isolates (48 and 5 ) attributed to 15 genetic lineages and collected from 21 hospitals across nine Russian cities between 2016 and 2022.

Recently, recombinant variants of SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in different countries, and some of them have become circulating forms. In this work, we performed screening of SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequences to identify recombination events and co-infections with various strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus detected in Russia from February 2020 to March 2022.

We present the findings of a detailed genomic analysis of the genomic variability of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant that spread in Russia between 8 December 2021 and 30 January 2022. We performed phylogenetic analysis of Omicron viral isolates collected in Moscow ( = 589) and downloaded from GISAID ( = 397), and identified that the BA.

This study aimed to assess the prevalence of colistin resistance and genes and characteristics of clinical () and () isolates and plasmids carrying these genes in Russia.
Methods: A total of 4324 and 4530 collected in the frame of sentinel surveillance in 2013-2018 were tested for susceptibility to colistin and other antibiotics using the broth microdilution method.
Purpose: Preclinical evaluation of and transcript simultaneous detection in urine to diagnose clinical significant prostate cancer (prostate cancer with Gleason score ≥7) in a Russian cohort.
Patients And Methods: We analyzed urine samples of patients with a total serum PSA ≥2 ng/mL: 31 men with prostate cancer scheduled for radical prostatectomy, 128 men scheduled for first diagnostic biopsy (prebiopsy cohort). , , and transcripts were detected by multiplex reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and the results were used for scores for calculation and statistical analysis.

Background: Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common in women, and during pregnancy can cause significant morbidity. Growing and greatly varying antimicrobial resistance (AMR) of Enterobacteriaceae, responsible for most UTIs, necessitates regular local AMR surveillance. In obstetric population, where beta-lactams are the mainstay for treatment of severe UTIs, particular focus should be placed on beta-lactam resistance.
