Background: To adapt to environmental changes, diapausing silkworm eggs remain dormant during the early stages of embryonic development. Various methods have been used to terminate silkworm egg diapause and promote egg hatching.
Methods: To elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which corona and other treatments terminate silkworm egg diapause, we collected eggs at 1, 6, and 20 h after treatments and sequenced their transcriptomes.
Glutaric acidemia type II (GAII) is an autosomal recessive genetic metabolic disorder associated with mitochondrial dysfunction, characterized by multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency that affects fatty acid metabolism. Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) represents a severe inflammatory condition affecting premature neonates. This report describes a case involving a male preterm infant born at a gestation of 30 weeks who developed NEC complicated by GAII.

The hydrophilic spindle-knot microfiber serves as a valuable tool for water collection to combat freshwater scarcity. However, balancing microfiber's water collection efficiency and reusability remains a challenge. To address this contradiction, a microfluidic approach utilizing enzyme-mediated, in situ biomineralization is developed to produce biomineralized rough spindle-knot calcium alginate microfibers (BSMs).

Hydraulic fracturing assisted oil displacement (HFAD) can effectively increase the oil production of a single well by creating fractures to replenish the producing energy. In this study, the Khristianovich-Geertsma-de Klerk (KGD) model is used to calculate the propagation of vertical fractures, and the flow tube method is used to calculate the two-phase oil-water flow in filtration and seepage.

The nanocomplexes are self-assembled by cross-linking mPEG-ALD with lipase, without complicated synthesis steps, toxic chemical reagents, and external carriers. Moreover, the mild cross-linking process preserves the original structure of the enzyme, the retention rate of enzyme activity is 82.

Single-cell RNA sequencing data of paired ovarian cancer tissues were analysed before and after NACT in 11 patients with HGSOC. The effect of NACT on two major cell components of the tumour microenvironment, epithelial cells and CD8+T cells, was investigated.

The role of SOX2 is intricately shaped by its interactions with specific partners. In the interactome of SOX2 in mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs), there is a cohort of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) that contributes to multiple facets of gene expression regulation.

Pickering emulsions provide a promising platform for the efficient delivery of bioactive. However, co-delivery of fragile bioactives with different physicochemical properties for comprehensive effects still faces practical challenges due to the limited protection for bioactives and the lack of stimuli-responsive property for on-demand release. Herein, a stimuli-responsive co-delivery system is developed based on biomineralized particles stabilized Pickering emulsions.

The chicken egg, an excellent natural source of proteins, has been an overlooked native biomaterial with remarkable physicochemical, structural, and biological properties. Recently, with significant advances in biomedical engineering, particularly in the development of 3D in vitro platforms, chicken egg materials have increasingly been investigated as biomaterials due to their distinct advantages such as their low cost, availability, easy handling, gelling ability, bioactivity, and provision of a developmentally stimulating environment for cells. In addition, the chicken egg and its by-products can improve tissue engraftment and stimulate angiogenesis, making it particularly attractive for wound healing and tissue engineering applications.

Our previous studies highlighted the potent anti-cancer properties of the principal compounds found in (YTE-17), attributing these effects to the regulation of multiple signaling pathways. However, knowledge regarding the mechanism and effect of YTE-17 in the prevention of colorectal cancer is limited.
