Impaired hemodynamic forces assessed by routine CMR and its determinants in different duration T2DM patients with normal LV function and myocardial strain.

Background: Early detection of subclinical myocardial dysfunction in asymptomatic patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is essential before overt changes in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and myocardial strain occur. The objective of this study is to quantitatively assess hemodynamic forces (HDFs) using a rigorous mathematical model based on conventional cine cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) images in patients with T2DM, and investigate their correlation with late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) and duration of diabetes.

Methods: We recruited 63 T2DM patients and 50 healthy volunteers to undergo contrast-enhanced CMR examinations.

This study aimed to explore the prognostic significance of the four nutritional indices, namely Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI), Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI), Controlling Nutritional Status (CONUT), and High-Sensitivity Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (HS-mGPS), in evaluating the long-term prognosis in elderly patients with AF.

Methods: The gene expression profiles of TNBC samples were downloaded from the TCGA database, and ubiquitination enzymes related to immune regulation were screened.

Needs for rehabilitation in China: Estimates based on the Global Burden of Disease Study 1990-2019.

Background: As an essential part of health services, rehabilitation is of great significance to improve the health and quality of life of the whole population. Accelerating aging calls for a significant expansion of rehabilitation services in China, but rehabilitation needs remain unclear. We conducted the study to explore the rehabilitation needs in China and project the trend of rehabilitation needs from 2020 to 2034.

However, the quality and functionality of samples after rewarming are limited by the toxicity of commonly used cryoprotectant agents (CPAs). Here, we developed a novel preservation system by combining the natural amino acid l-proline (L-Pro) with gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) hydrogels.

Introduction: Gynecological diseases ranked second among new cases of noncommunicable diseases in women of reproductive age in 1990 and 2019 globally. The aim of this study was to estimate the disease burden of gynecological diseases and describe their trends in women of all ages from 1990 to 2019.

Methods: Using data from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries and Risk Factors Study (GBD 2019), authors examined the incidence, disability-adjusted life years, and deaths from gynecological diseases by age in 204 countries and territories worldwide from 1990 to 2019.

Learning to Sketch: A Neural Approach to Item Frequency Estimation in Streaming Data.

Recently, there has been a trend of designing neural data structures to go beyond handcrafted data structures by leveraging patterns of data distributions for better accuracy and adaptivity. Sketches are widely used data structures in real-time web analysis, network monitoring, and self-driving to estimate item frequencies of data streams within limited space. However, existing sketches have not fully exploited the patterns of the data stream distributions, making it challenging to tightly couple them with neural networks that excel at memorizing pattern information.

Adipose-derived stem cells (ASC) or autologous fat transplantation could be used to ameliorate breast cancer postoperative deformities. This study aims to explore the action of ASC and ASC-exosomes (ASC-exos) in breast cancer characterization and tumor microenvironment immunity, which provided a new method into the application of ASC-exos. ASC were extracted from human adipose tissue for the isolation and verification of ASC-exos.

Background: Lymph node ratio has garnered increasing attention as a prognostic marker for rectal cancer; however, few studies have investigated the relationship between lymph node ratio and rectal cancer recurrence. Additionally, Carbon Nanoparticle tracking is a safe and effective strategy for locating tumors and tracking lymph nodes. However, no studies have reported the relationship between Carbon Nanoparticles and rectal cancer recurrence.

Update on suspensory suture techniques in reconstructive periodontal surgeries.

Purpose: Reconstructive periodontal surgery, which has received more and more interest in modern periodontology, can help save severely compromised teeth and solve aesthetic problems caused by the destruction of periodontal tissues in periodontal diseases. Unfortunately, there is few literatures reviewing the use of suspensory suture techniques in reconstructive periodontal surgeries.

Methods: An electronic search of the PubMed and Web of Science was performed.

Quantifying left ventricular myocardial strain in patients with different CAD-RADS levels based on computed tomography feature tracking technology.

To evaluate myocardial strain in patients with different coronary artery disease-reporting and data system (CAD-RADS) levels using the computed tomography (CT) feature tracking technology and to investigate the relationship of myocardial strain with coronary artery calcium scores (CACs) and the degree of coronary artery stenosis. We prospectively enrolled 237 consecutive patients to undergo coronary CT angiography. The participants were divided into the following groups: control (n = 87), CAD-RADS 1 (n = 43), CAD-RADS 2 (n = 43), CAD-RADS 3 (n = 38), and CAD-RADS 4 and above (n = 26).

Multimodality imaging assessment of primary pericardial rhabdomyosarcoma: a case report.

Primary pericardial sarcomas are rare and lethal diseases. To date, only a few cases of primary pericardial sarcomas, such as rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), have been reported. Since the unusual location of RMS in the pericardium makes it challenging to diagnose, precise diagnostic procedures are required.

Background: Non-communicable diseases have become a major threat to public health, with cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and cancer being the top two causes of death each year.

Objective: Our objective is to evaluate the balanced association between the effect of red and processed meat intake on the risk of death and the effect of physical activity on the risk of mortality, where the risk of death includes all causes, CVDs, and cancers.

Methods: We searched electronic databases, including PubMed, ISI Web of Science, Embase, and the Cochrane Library, for prospective studies reporting risk estimates for the association between the intake of red and processed meat, walking, and muscle-strengthening activity (MSA) and the risk of mortality from all causes, CVDs, and cancer.
