- The study compares the occurrence of diffuse lamellar keratitis (DLK) after LASIK surgery using two different femtosecond lasers: Femto LDV and IntraLase FS60.
- A total of 818 myopic eyes were analyzed, with 8.17% of the Femto LDV group experiencing DLK compared to a much higher 37.5% in the IntraLase FS60 group, indicating a significant difference in DLK rates.
- Both laser types resulted in excellent visual outcomes, and any observed DLK cases were low and resolved quickly, concluding that both lasers are effective for flap creation in LASIK with no major clinical differences.
