Report of a case of acinic cell carcinoma of the upper lip and review of Japanese cases of acinic cell carcinoma of the minor salivary glands.

Acinic cell carcinoma (ACC) is a malignant tumor of the salivary glands. The majority of ACCs occur in the parotid gland, and ACCs of the minor salivary glands (MSGs) are relatively infrequent. We describe here a patient with ACC of the upper lip.

Angioleiomyoma of the tongue: a case report and review of the literature.

Angioleiomyoma (AL) is a benign tumor derived from smooth muscle. The overwhelming majority of ALs occur in the uterus, gastrointestinal tract, or skin; AL of the oral cavity is infrequent, and AL of the tongue is particularly rare. The present report describes a case of AL of the tongue that resulted in a good outcome.

Oral lipoma extending superiorly from mandibular gingivobuccal fold to gingiva: a case report and analysis of 207 patients with oral lipoma in Japan.

Lipoma is relatively uncommon in the oral cavity. Among the intraoral regions, lipoma involving the gingiva or gingivobuccal fold is relatively infrequent. We report the case of a patient with lipoma extending superiorly from the mandibular gingivobuccal fold to the gingiva.

The diagnostic value of endothelial function as a potential sensor of fatigue in health.

Purpose: Many epidemiological research studies have shown that vital exhaustion and psychosocial factors are associated with the occurrence of cerebrocardiovascular disease (CCVD). Fatigue is thought to induce endothelial dysfunction and may be linked to the occurrence of CCVD; however, no studies have investigated this potential link. We studied to determine the effect of fatigue on endothelial function in healthy subjects with no traditional CCVD risk factors or potential confounding factors to be controlled.
