We investigated outcomes of clinic-based hand therapy combined with a home-based exercise programme after anterior plating for distal radial fractures. A total of 102 patients were randomly assigned to one of three groups: a home-based exercise programme alone; a home-based exercise programme combined with four hand therapy sessions in the clinic; and a home-based exercise programme with seven sessions in the clinic.
