Purpose: Adipocytes around aggressive breast cancer (BC) are less lipid different from naive adipocytes (cancer-associated adipocytes, CAAs), and peritumoral edema caused by the release of cytokines from CAAs can conduce to decrease the peritumoral fat proportion. The purpose of this study was to correlate peritumoral fat content identified by using iterative decomposition of water and fat with echo asymmetry and least-squares estimation (IDEAL) with lymph node metastasis (LNM) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) in BC patients and to compare with T2-weighted (T2WI) and diffusion-weighted images (DWI) analyses.
Methods: This retrospective study consisted of 85 patients who were diagnosed with invasive carcinoma of breast and underwent breast MRI, including IDEAL before surgery.
We report two cases of synchronous double primary cancers, which were composed of prostate cancer accompanied by bone metastasis and colon cancer, within only five months of each other. The first was a 77-year-old man whose ECOG PS was 0. He was referred to our hospital in March 2020 because abdominal CT scan, which was performed at a clinic for the purpose of close examination of poor control of diabetes, showed wall thickening of the sigmoid colon.

Here, we showed that both TRPV1 and TRPV4 might contribute to biphasic nocifensive behavior and neuroendocrine response following a formalin test. We subcutaneously injected saline, formalin, or the TRPV4 agonist, 4α-phorbol 12,13-didecanoate (4α-PDD) into one hindpaw of wild-type (WT), TRPV1-deficient (Trpv1(-/-)), and TRPV4-deficient (Trpv4(-/-)) mice to investigate nocifensive behaviors (phase I [0-10 min] and phase II [10-60 min]) and Fos expression in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord and other brain regions related to pain, in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN), paraventricular nucleus of the thalamus, the medial habenular nucleus, the medial nucleus of the amygdala and capsular part of the central amygdala.
