Methods: A semen test was performed on 217 men just after or just before marriage. Variables assessed in the study were: age; symptomatic scores, including sexual function evaluated using several specific questionnaires; endocrinological profiles, especially follicle-stimulating hormone; and serum zinc concentrations.

[A case of tuberculous epididymitis after Bacillus Calmette-Guérin intravesical instillation therapy for bladder cancer].

A 65-year-old male had undergone transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TUR-Bt) four times for recurrent bladder cancer, and each histopathological examination revealed non-invasive urothelial carcinoma, pTa, G2. To prevent further recurrence, he received eight weekly intravesical instillations of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG). Four months after the BCG therapy, he underwent cystoscopy.

[A case of clear cell adenocarcinoma arising from a female urethral diverticulum].

A 49-year-old female was followed up at the gynecology clinic after conization for cervical cancer and underwent routine cervical smear, which revealed a cluster of adenocarcinoma cells. Positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) showed increased FDG uptake around the proximal urethra. Urethroscopy showed a tumor arising from the urethral diverticulum, and it was revealed to be clear cell adenocarcinoma by cold-cup biopsy.

[Metachronous bilateral testicular tumors in a case of male infertility].

A 42-year-old man referred to our hospital with the chief complaint of a solid mass of right scrotal contents. As ultrasonography revealed a right testicular tumor, right high orchiectomy was performed and the pathlogical diagnosis was testicular seminoma. At the age of 35-year-old, he was admitted to another hospital for male infertility due to azoospermia.

[Leiomyosarcoma of the kidney with tumor thrombus to the inferior vena cava].

A 76-year-old female presented with edema in the bilateral lower legs and computed tomography (CT) subsequently revealed a tumor under the right side of the kidney that extended to the inferior vena cava. Under suspicion of a right renal sarcoma or malignant teratoma, we performed a right nephrectomy and tumor thrombectomy. Histopathological features of the resected specimen were compatible with a leiomyosarcoma originating from either extrarenal blood vessels or muscle fibers of the renal pelvis.

[Assessment of quality of life in women with pelvic organ prolapse: conditional translation and trial of P-QOL for use in Japan].

Introduction: A purpose of the surgical treatment for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is not only the anatomical restoration of the patients but also the improvement of their quality of life (QOL). We have no linguistic validated questionnaire in Japanese to assess it. Therefore we have translated 'prolapse quality of life questionnaire (P-QOL)' into Japanese and present it to the thirty POP patients at our institute for evaluating mental and physical condition before and three months after the operation.
