Background: Inflammatory markers for the prognosis of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) with endovascular therapy remain unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between the systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) with unfavorable functional outcomes at 90-day in individuals of AIS who underwent endovascular therapy.

Methods: A total of 128 AIS patients who had endovascular therapy were enrolled from the Nanjing Stroke Registry between September 2019 and November 2022.

Purpose: According to many previous studies, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (CRP) are commonly used as important indicators to assess the prognosis of intravenous thrombolysis in AIS patients. Based on this, we used two novel biomarkers C-NLR (CRP/neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio) and C-LMR (CRP×lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio) to investigate their correlation with 90-day outcomes in AIS patients after intravenous thrombolysis.

Patients And Methods: A total of 204 AIS patients who received intravenous thrombolysis at the Stroke Center of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2022 were retrospectively included.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the effects of Zuogui Pills on neural recovery and functional improvement in mice after an ischemic stroke.
  • Male C57BL/6J mice were divided into several groups to assess behavior, brain injury, and protein expression over 28 days using various tests and imaging techniques.
  • Findings indicate that Zuogui Pills help reduce brain damage, increase neuronal activity, and enhance the expression of growth-related proteins, suggesting the pills promote neural function recovery through specific biological pathways.

Aim: To explore the association between Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection and risk of gastric cancer in China.

Methods: Utilizing gastroendoscopic biospsy tissue banks accumulated from 1980 to 1988 in Shandong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu, where stomach cancer incidence was high, during stomach cancer screening conducted by Health Science Center of Peking University, School of Medicine of Zhejiang University, and Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University. Warthin Starry silver staining method was applied to determine H.
