Adaptation of Postural Sway in a Standing Position during Tilted Video Viewing Using Virtual Reality: A Comparison between Younger and Older Adults.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of wearing virtual reality (VR) with a head-mounted display (HMD) on body sway in younger and older adults. A standing posture with eyes open without an HMD constituted the control condition. Wearing an HMD and viewing a 30°-tilt image and a 60°-tilt image in a resting standing position were the experimental conditions.

Safety and antitumor activity of copanlisib in Japanese patients with relapsed/refractory indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma: a phase Ib/II study.

The safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics of copanlisib were evaluated in this phase Ib/II study in Japanese patients with relapsed/refractory indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The primary endpoint was safety at the recommended dose; efficacy endpoints included objective response rate (ORR), progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival. In phase Ib, patients received copanlisib 45 mg intravenously on days 1, 8, and 15 of a 28-day cycle, and when tolerated, consecutive patients received copanlisib 60 mg.

Effects of magnesium oxide on pharmacokinetics of L-dopa/carbidopa and assessment of pharmacodynamic changes by a model-based simulation.

Background: Magnesium oxide (MgO) is often co-prescribed with L-dopa/carbidopa (LDCD) to improve constipation in Parkinson's disease patients. The mixing of L-dopa and MgO has been shown to degrade L-dopa; however, there is no interaction study on humans. We proposed mechanisms for the interaction between LDCD and MgO and conducted pharmacokinetic studies on rats and humans.
