Background: Ivabradine is a heart rate-lowering drug that selectively inhibits the funny (I) current of the sinoatrial node. It is currently recommended in patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in sinus rhythm and a heart rate of ≥ 70 beats per minute (bpm) at rest.
