Article Synopsis
  • Alzheimer's Disease (AD) leads to memory loss and learning difficulties, primarily affecting older adults, and is linked to cholinergic deficiency, prompting the development of cholinesterase inhibitors for treatment.
  • Recent innovations in AChE inhibitors have introduced novel compounds, such as coumarin-benzotriazole hybrids and carbazole derivatives, which enhance acetylcholine levels and may improve neural function.
  • The studied compounds demonstrate effective inhibition of β-amyloid aggregation, low toxicity, and strong potential for targeting AChE in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, showing promise for future therapeutic interventions.*
