Ion exchange membranes play a key role in all vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs). The mostly available commercial membrane for VRFBs is Nafion. However, its disadvantages, such as high cost and severe vanadium-ion permeation, become obstacles for large-scale energy storage.

The Taenia asiatica eggs pre-incubated with sodium hypochlorite solution for 4 min, 6 min and 8 mins were subcutaneously injected into mice with normal immune function(groups Al-A3 respectively, n=20 in each) and mice with immunosuppression (groups B1-B3, n=20 in each). All groups of mice began to show body discomfort on day 5 after infection and develop lumps on the back about on day 15. In groups Al-A3, animal death occurred during days 7-15, with a same survival rate of 95.

Gelao ethnic group, an aboriginal population residing in southwest China, has undergone a long and complex evolutionary process. To investigate the genetic structure of this ancient ethnic group, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) polymorphisms of 102 Gelao individuals were collected and analyzed in this study. With the aid of the information extracted from control-region hypervariable segments (HVSs) I and II as well as some necessary coding-region segments, phylogenetic status of all mtDNAs under study were determined by means of classifying into various defined haplogroups.

Objective: To explore the distribution of ABO blood group in Tibetans population and their genetic relationship.
Methods: Data of ABO blood group of 28 Tibetan populations were collected from China and India. The gene frequencies were processed by Phylip3.
The gene frequency of 5 characters was reported in Buyi, Miao, Shui, Maonan, Dong, and Han nationalities in southern Guizhou, and analyzed for statistical significance among these nationalities. The results showed that: (1) For Hair forms and Nasal profile, the frequency of the dominant gene was lower than that of theirs recessive gene, but the opposite was true for Nostril forms. (2) Among different nationalities, the difference of gene frequency of Mongoloid fold, Nasal profile, Hair forms and Eye fold of the upper eyelid was quite significant, which was followed by that of Nostril forms.
