Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of functional loading on microgaps and microleakage at implant-abutment interfaces (IAIs) in the aesthetic zone when using different abutments and to provide a clinical reference for abutment selection.

Factors influencing inhibition of lignin on the enzymatic hydrolysis have not been fully elucidated. This study aims to elucidate the effects of lignin fractionation and condensation on its inhibition on enzymatic hydrolysis in aromatic-additive-assisted acidic pretreatment using 2-naphthol (2 N), 2-naphthol-7-sulfonate (NS), and resorcinol (RS). Through simulation reactions of pretreatment and physiochemical analyses of ethanol-extractable lignins (ELs) and cellulolytic enzyme lignins (CELs) from pretreatment, it was observed that 2 N addition in the acidic pretreatment could suppress lignin condensation.

Carrageenan has good film-forming characteristics, but it is difficult to simultaneously improve its multiple performances, such as water-resistance, light transmittance and thermal stability. In this study, multi-advantage composite films were prepared by iota-carrageenan and quaternary ammonium surfactants according to solvent induced method. The weight change, FTIR and thermogravimetric analyses of the films before and after solvent inducement indicated that the inorganic counterions of iota-carrageenan were replaced by quaternary ammonium ions.

Orosomucoid (ORM) is an important hepatokine that regulates metabolism. Previous report showed that isoform ORM2 but not ORM1 could downregulate lipogenic genes and ameliorate hepatic steatosis in obese mice, thereby categorizing ORM2 as a promising candidate for therapeutic intervention in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). In this study, a novel Encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) reverse genetic operating system was developed utilizing CMV promoters, enabling EMCV genome expression under the transcriptional control of the CMV immediate early promoter and BGH polyA transcriptional-termination signal. The full-length cDNA of EMCV BJC3 was ligated to the pRK5 vector, incorporating the CMV eukaryotic promoter sequence, resulting in the construction of recombinant plasmid EMCV (pEMCV).
