Osteosarcoma is one of the most aggressive cancers which greatly threatens the health of adolescents and surgery is difficult to resect the whole piece of tumor tissue. The residual tumor cells might proliferate at the tumor site and invade into the blood circulation, leading to tumor recurrence and metastasis. Besides, the invasion of tumor cells could also lead to bone injury.

Ridge extraction is an effective tacholess order tracking technique for the fault detection of bearings under time-varying speed conditions. Cost function ridge detection (CFRD) is the most widely used ridge detection method. However, improper bandwidth selection and unreasonable cost function construction significantly restrict the performance of the CFRD.

Through self-assembly of nanoparticles into high-order and stable structures of cubic clusters, high drug-loading rubik-like magnetic nano-assemblies (MNAs), possessing folic acid targeting and strong magnetism-enhanced cellular uptake capabilities, were built. In this study, the core of the cubic drug assemblies consisted of four monodisperse superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles coated with layers of oleic acid (Fe₃O₄@OA), simultaneously encapsulating fluorescein, and Paclitaxol (Flu-MNAs and PTX-MNAs) for imaging and therapeutic applications. To enable preferential tumor cellular uptake by the nanocarriers, the outermost layer of Fe₃O₄ was functionalized with the new dual-oleic acid-polyethylene glycol-folic acid polymer (FA-PEG-Lys-OA₂) as a "shell.

For enhanced anti-cancer performance, human serum albumin fragments (HSAFs) nanoparticles (NPs) were developed as paclitaxel (PTX) carrier in this paper. Human albumins were broken into fragments via degradation and crosslinked by genipin to form HSAF NPs for better biocompatibility, improved PTX drug loading and sustained drug release. Compared with crosslinked human serum albumin NPs, the HSAF-NPs showed relative smaller particle size, higher drug loading, and improved sustained release.

Fast dissolving oral film is a stamp-style, drug-loaded polymer film with rapid disintegration and dissolution. This new kind of drug delivery system requires effective taste masking technology. Suspension intermediate and liposome intermediate were prepared, respectively, for the formulation of two kinds of fast dissolving oral films with the aim of studying the effect of taste masking technology on the bioavailability of oral films.

New targeted RGD peptides obtained by solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) were successfully screened by Molecular Operating Environment (MOE) and used for the building of the 6-O-carboxymethyl chitosan based carrier with an active target on the surface. CRGDYC-6-O-carboxymethyl chitosan based nanoparticles (NPs) loaded with doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX) were successfully prepared by an ionic gelation method with the carrier synthesized before. Synthesis conditions and formulation parameters were optimized by determining the characteristics of nanoparticles including the particle size and drug encapsulation efficiency.

In this Letter, we report a 1064 nm continuous wave Nd:YAG planar waveguide laser with an output power of 1544 W based on the structure of the master oscillator power amplification. A fiber laser is used as the master oscillator, and diode laser arrays are used as the pump source of the waveguide laser amplifier. The dimension of the waveguide is 1  mm (T)×10  mm (W)×60  mm (L), and the dual end oblique pumping is adopted with different angles.

Laser displacement sensor (LDS)-based online measuring of the wheel diameter has been widely adopted in engineering for advantages such as noncontact, high efficiency, and high precision. For almost all these online measuring systems, calibration is certainly needed in order to obtain the extrinsic parameters of sensors. A field-based easy-to-operate, economical, and efficient calibration method is proposed for an LDS-based wheel diameter online measuring system.

A practical and effective strategy for loading hydrophobic anticancer agents within the inside and outside oleic acid layer of Rubik-like magnetic nanoassemblies (MNAs) is established. In this strategy, four individual oleic acid-capped iron oxide nanocubes and dioleate-modified polyethylene glycol are assembled into cluster with high drug loading capability, high magnetism, as well as rapid and extended release behavior. After loading model drug paclitaxel (PTX), PTX-MNAs show greater antitumor activity both in vitro cell culture and in vivo animal trials compared with the same dose of free PTX (Taxol).

Breviscapine lipid emulsions were prepared by a high speed dispersion-homogenization method with optimal formulation and technological method. The proportion of liposomes in breviscapine lipid emulsions, an important character for determining the behavior of drug in vivo belongs to which carriers, was less than 5%. Loading breviscapine into lipid emulsions did increase the breviscapine concentrations in plasma, retarded the clearance, and exhibited the properties of sustained-release concluded by pharmacokinetic parameters: after bolus administration, the elimination phase (t(1/2(β)) = 99.

Aim: Investigated the self-assembly and characterization of novel antifouling polyethylene glycol (PEG)-coated iron oxide nanoparticles as nanoprobes for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent.

Method: Monodisperse oleic acid-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide cores are synthesized by thermal decomposition of iron oleate. The self-assembly behavior between iron oxide cores and PEG-lipid conjugates in water and their characteristics are confirmed by transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer.

Breviscapine proliposomes were prepared by ethanol injection-homogenization-lyophilization method. On contact with 5% glucose, the proliposomes were rapidly converted into a liposomal dispersion, in which a certain amount of breviscapine was entrapped by the liposomes. The entrapment efficiency measured by reverse dialysis method was 77.
