Folic acid is a B vitamin with multiple physiological functions such as lipid regulation and antioxidant capacity, and its potential to improve bone loss has attracted our attention. Through NHANES database analysis, we found that folic acid intake was significantly correlated with whole-body bone mineral density (BMD) in people aged 20-60 years, and the association may be mediated by the body fat rate.
