In response to the current situation of backward automation levels, heavy labor intensities, and high accident rates in the underground coal mine auxiliary transportation system, the mining trackless auxiliary transportation robot (MTATBOT) is presented in this paper. The MTATBOT is specially designed for long-range, space-constrained, and explosion-proof underground coal mine environments. With an onboard perception and autopilot system, the MTATBOT can perform automated and unmanned subterranean material transportation.

The mechanical properties of dissimilar metal-welded joint materials are heterogeneous, which is an obstacle to the safety evaluation of key welded structures. The variation of stress-strain conditions at the crack tip caused by mismatch of material mechanical properties in dissimilar metal-welded joints is an important factor affecting crack propagation behavior. To understand the influence of uneven distribution of ultimate strength of the base metal and the welded metal on the crack propagation path, fracture toughness, as well as the mechanical field at the crack tip in the small-scale yield range, the user-defined field variable subroutine method is used to express continuous variation characteristics of welded joint ultimate strength in finite element software.

Due to the particularity of welding processes, the mechanical properties of welded joint materials, especially the yield strength, are unevenly distributed, and there are also a large number of micro cracks, which seriously affects the safety performance of welded joints. In this study, to analyze the effect of the uneven distribution of yield strength on the crack propagation path of welded joints, other mechanical properties and residual stresses of welded joints are ignored. In the ABAQUS 6.

To develop a receptor-mediated intracellular delivery system that can transport therapeutic proteins to specific tumor cells, folate-poly(ethylene glycol)-grafted-trimethylchitosan (folate-PEG-g-TMC) was synthesized. Nano-scaled spherical polyelectrolyte complexes between the folate-PEG-g-TMC and fluorescein isothiocyanate conjugated bovine serum albumin (FITC-BSA) were prepared under suitable weight ratio of copolymer to FITC-BSA by ionic interaction between the positively charged copolymers and the negatively charged FITC-BSA. Intracellular uptake of FITC-BSA was specifically enhanced in SKOV3 cells (folate receptor over-expressing cell line) through folate receptor-mediated endocytosis compared with A549 cells (folate receptor deficient cell line).

Folate conjugated N-trimethyl chitosan (folate-TMC) that was used for intracellular delivery of protein before was studied as a gene delivery carrier in this study using N-trimethyl chitosan (TMC) as a reference. MTT assay indicated that the two polymers were much less toxic than PEI. Agarose gel electrophoresis indicated that the two polymers effectively condensed pDNA.

Folate conjugated N-trimethyl chitosan (folate-TMC) was synthesized and characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and (1)H spectroscopy. The fluorescein isothiocyanate conjugated bovine serum albumin (FITC-BSA) loaded TMC-nanoparticle (FB-TMC-NP) and FITC-BSA loaded folate-TMC-nanoparticle (FB-f-TMC-NP) were prepared by ionic cross-linking of TMC or folate-TMC with sodium alginate. Single factor analysis method was used to optimize the formulation of nanoparticles.

In our previous work, a controlled porosity osmotic pump system with biphasic release of theophylline, a system composed of a tablet-in-tablet (TNT) core and a controlled porosity coating membrane, was developed for the nocturnal therapy of asthma. Sodium phosphate and sodium chloride were selected as the osmotic agents in inner and outer layer of the TNT core respectively, and CA-PEG400-DEP (54.5%-36.

PLGA nanoparticles simultaneously loaded with vincristine sulfate (VCR) and verapamil hydrochloride (VRP) were prepared via combining O/W emulsion solvent evaporation and salting-out method. Ten independent processing parameters and two materials characteristics were assessed systematically to enhance the incorporation of the two hydrophilic low molecular weight drugs into PLGA nanoparticles and minimize nanoparticles size. Approaches investigated for the enhancement of drug entrapment efficiencies and the minimization of particle size included the influence of the molecular weight (MW) of PLGA and the lactide to glycolide (L:G) ratio of PLGA, PLGA concentration, the degrees of hydrolyzation and polymerization of PVA, PVA concentration, initial VCR and VRP content, acetone to dichloromethane volume ratio, aqueous phase pH, salt concentration of aqueous phase, aqueous to organic phase volume ratio, sonication time, sonication energy and removal rate of organic solvents.

3-succinyl-30-stearyl glycyrrhetinic acid (Suc-GLAOSt) was synthesized as a targeting molecule, and incorporated in ordinary to liposomes (LP) to prepare a liposome surface-modified with glycyrrhetinic acid (LP-GLA), which could bind to the hepatocyte through the specific binding site of glycyrrhetinic acid (GLA) on the surface of rat cellular membrane. The maximal molar ratio of Suc-GLAOSt to total lipids in LP-GLA was 1:10. Calcein loaded liposome (Cal-LP) and calcein loaded LP-GLA (Cal-LP-GLA) were prepared by an ethanol injection method.

A novel two-step release system for the traditional Chinese medicine compound Danshen was developed by combining an effervescent osmotic pump tablet (EOPT) and a pulsed-released tablet (PT) of compound Danshen into one hard capsule. The EOPT of Danshen was prepared with sodium chloride, mannitol, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), and sodium bicarbonate as osmotic agents. The osmotic pressure from EOPT was greatly enhanced by carbon dioxide generated from the reaction between sodium bicarbonate and acidic components from Danshen.

Aim: To investigate the uptake difference between bovine serum albumin nanoparticle (BSA-NP) and bovine serum albumin nanoparticles with their surface modified by glycyrrhizin (BSA-NP-GL) and to develop a novel hepatocyte targeting BSA-NP-GL based on active targeting technology mediated by specific binding site of GL on rat cellular membrane.

Methods: Calcein loaded bovine serum albumin nanoparticles (Cal-BSA-NP) were prepared by desolvation process. Glycyrrhizin was conjugated to the surface reactive amino groups (SRAG) of Cal-BSA-NP by sodium periodate oxidization, which resulted in calcein-loaded bovine serum albumin nanoparticles with their surface modified by glycyrrhizin (Cal-BSA-NP-GL).
