- A simple solution-evaporation method was used to create chitosan/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) nanocomposites.
- Characterization techniques like SEM, TEM, and XRD were used to analyze the structure and mechanical strengths of these nanocomposites, revealing that MWNTs were evenly distributed in the chitosan matrix.
- The addition of just 0.8 wt % of MWNTs significantly enhanced the mechanical properties of the composites, improving tensile modulus and strength by approximately 93% and 99%, respectively, compared to plain chitosan.
