Background: Serpin B9 is highly expressed in breast cancer, melanoma, and various malignant cells and inhibits NK cell killing through the Serpin B9-GrB axle. However, the current studies have only validated the role of Serpin B9 in vivo and vitro, and lack of systematic studies on the expression of Serpin B9 in patients' tumor tissues and its prognostic implications. In this study, we propose to further validate the role of Serpin B9 by comparing its expression level in tissues of lung adenocarcinoma patients and its correlation with the efficacy of immunotherapy.

Methods: In this ambispective cohort study, CVD-free residents aged over 50 years were consecutively enrolled from two community health service centers (CHCs) in Tianjin, China from April 2017 to May 2017. Information on blood pressure was retrospectively extracted from electronic medical records of CHCs between January 2010 and May 2017, and the occurrence of new-onset CVDs was prospectively observed during follow-up until September 2019.

Here we found that the long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) MILIP supports TNBC cell survival, proliferation, and tumorigenicity by complexing with transfer RNAs (tRNA) to promote protein production, thus representing a potential therapeutic target in TNBC. MILIP was expressed at high levels in TNBC cells that commonly harbor loss-of-function mutations of the tumor suppressor p53, and MILIP silencing suppressed TNBC cell viability and xenograft growth, indicating that MILIP functions distinctively in TNBC beyond its established role in repressing p53 in other types of cancers.

Methods: This study included 22 acute NAION patients (25 eyes), 21 non-acute NAION patients (23 eyes) and 23 normal individuals (34 eyes). All study participants underwent swept-source optical coherence tomography to assess the vitreopapillary interface, peripapillary wrinkles and peripapillary superficial vessel protrusion.
