Chemoresistance is an important factor in multiple myeloma (MM) relapse and overall survival. However, the mechanism underlying resistance remains unclear. In this study, we identified adenine nucleotide translocase 3 (ANT3) as a novel biomarker and therapeutic target for MM progression and resistance to the proteasome inhibitor bortezomib (BTZ).

This study aims to elucidate the intricate effects of Acetyl tributyl citrate (ATBC) on bone metabolism, disentangling the underlying molecular mechanisms that govern the impact of environmental contaminants on disease processes. Leveraging the exhaustive exploration of databases such as ChEMBL, STITCH, GeneCards, and OMIM, we have identified a comprehensive list of 164 potential targets intimately associated with both ATBC and bone metabolism. Following rigorous refinement using the STRING platform and Cytoscape software, we pinpointed ten core targets, encompassing KDM1A, EP300, HDAC2, EHMT2, DNMT1, and several others.

The pivotal role of ubiquitination in the pathogenesis and progression of cancer, including colorectal, breast, and liver cancer, is well-established. Osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone tumor predominantly affecting adolescents, also exhibits dysregulation of the ubiquitination system, encompassing both ubiquitination and deubiquitination processes.

Epigenetic modifications play an important role in cellular senescence, and enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) is a key methyltransferase involved in epigenetic remodeling in multiple myeloma (MM) cells. We have previously demonstrated that GSK126, a specific EZH2 inhibitor, exhibits anti-MM therapeutic efficacy and safety and ; however, its specific mechanism remains unclear. This study shows that GSK126 induces cellular senescence in MM, which is characterized by the accumulation of senescence-associated heterochromatin foci (SAHF) and p21, and increased senescence-associated β galactosidase activity.

Although treatment options have improved, a large proportion of patients show low survival rates, highlighting an urgent need for novel therapeutic strategies. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of the new small-molecule compound dihydrocelastrol (DHCE), acquired through the structural modification of celastrol (CE), in the treatment of DLBCL.

Many studies have focused on intra-urban flooding, but less attention has been paid to rainfall and flood risks at the urban fringe. Nowadays, China is vigorously promoting the construction of sponge cities in the whole area.

Purpose: To evaluate associations of intra-weekly and weekday-weekend differences in eating timing patterns with high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP).
Methods: A community-based sample of 103 U.
Background Sleep variability and social jetlag are associated with adverse cardiometabolic outcomes via circadian disruption. Variable eating patterns also lead to circadian disruption, but associations with cardiometabolic health are unknown. Methods and Results Women (n=115, mean age: 33±12 years) completed a 1-week food record using the Automated Self-Administered 24-Hour Dietary Assessment Tool at baseline and 1 year.

However, no prior literature has directly investigated the impact of preoperative oral health on these features.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed all consenting patients who underwent buccal mucosal graft (BMG) urethroplasty at our institution from 2018 to 2020.
Nightly fasting duration (NFD) and eating timing and frequency may influence cardiometabolic health via their impact on circadian rhythms, which are entrained by food intake, but observational studies are limited. This 1-year prospective study of 116 US women (33 ± 12y, 45% Hispanic) investigated associations of habitual NFD and eating timing and frequency with cardiovascular health (CVH; American Heart Association Life's Simple 7 score) and cardiometabolic risk factors. NFD, eating timing and frequency, and nighttime eating levels were evaluated from 1-week electronic food records completed at baseline and 1 y.

However, it is difficult to control unsaturated copper/nitrogen constructions as well as to compare their ORR performances in similar carbon matrices in a simple yet efficient manner. In this study, we have easily attained two types of Cu -N and Cu -N constructions simply by etching pyrolyzed Cu-doped zeolitic imidazolate framework nanoleaves (Cu-ZIF-L) with sulfuric acid or nitric acid, respectively.

Meanwhile, computational efficiency is also required for real-time implementation. In this paper, an unknown input Bouc-Wen hysteresis control problem is investigated for robotic manipulators using adaptive control and a dynamical gain-based approach.

The phase-locked design in this work provides excellent tensile mechanical properties and efficient healability at a moderate temperature due to the dynamic disulfide bonds embedded in the hard segments and mainly being locked in the viscoelastic hard microphase region. The self-healing elastomers exhibit a maximum tensile stress of 25 MPa and a fracture strain of over 1600%, which are quite prominent compared to previous reports.

Two estuary wetlands in Minjiang River, Shanyutan and Daoqingzhou, were selected as the research objects. Wetland sediments were collected to examine the effects of different salinity levels on nitrification processes in the wetland with a culture experiment. The results showed that the nitrification rate of sediment in Minjiang River estuary wetland was generally low.

Most forensic entomological succession studies have been carried out using pig or rabbit carcasses; however, there have been few studies on the differences between insect succession patterns on human cadavers and on animal carcasses. In order to clarify the differences between decomposition and insect succession patterns of human cadavers and animal carcasses, one 49.5kg human cadaver, two large pig carcasses (45 and 48kg), two small pig carcasses (23 and 25kg) and two rabbit carcasses (both 1.

A full characterization of the developmental stages of Calliphoridae, a predominating species on corpses, is especially important for PMI estimation. Chrysomya nigripes Aubertin, which appears on the corpse mainly during the decay and the post-decay stages, is of significant value for PMImin estimation.

Nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) is an emerging tool for meaningful low-rank matrix representation. In NMF, explicit constraints are usually required, such that NMF generates desired products (or factorizations), especially when the products have significant sparseness features. It is known that the ability of NMF in learning sparse representation can be improved by embedding a smoothness factor between the products.
