Cetuximab resistance is a significant challenge in the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). In this study, cetuximab-resistant HNSCC cell lines were established, and untargeted metabolomics was used to detect differences in metabolite profiles between sensitive and resistant cell lines. It was found that glutathione metabolism significantly differed between the sensitive and resistant lines.

Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the changes in the mandibular canal following the treatment of large odontogenic keratocysts through decompression and curettage, providing a theoretical basis for sequential treatment.
Methods: Twenty patients were selected for each decompression and curettage treatment of large odontogenic keratocysts in the mandible. Postoperative follow-up with was conducted every three months, during which cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans were performed.
Radix Rehmanniae (RR) is a widely used herb in traditional Chinese Medicine with properties of tonifying the kidneys and nourishing the blood. Both raw and processed RR are effective for the treatment of diabetes in clinical practice. Oligosaccharides and iridoid glycosides are the primary active components responsible for the anti-diabetic effects of RR.

However, the specific active components responsible for its hypoglycemic effects and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, db/db mice underwent a 4-week dietary intervention with two pumpkin flours (PF1 and PF2), total dietary fiber (TDF), soluble dietary fiber (SDF), and insoluble dietary fiber (IDF), with acarbose serving as a positive control.

The underlying mechanism of different treatment outcomes occur remains elusive, and the precise contribution of various cell subtypes in this process remains uncertain.
Results: Here, we performed single-cell transcriptome sequencing on 10 human endometrial samples to establish a single-cell atlas differences between patients who responded to estrogen therapy and those who did not.

Electrocatalytic reduction of NO is a green and sustainable method that not only helps to treat industrial pollutants in wastewater, but also produces valuable chemicals. However, the slow dynamics of the proton-coupled electron transfer process results in a high barrier and low conversion efficiency. In this work, the Se-deficient FeSe/FeO heterojunction was synthesized, which showed excellent electrochemical performance in 0.

This advancement is pivotal for the progression of efficient rechargeable zinc-air batteries (RZABs). In this study, we investigates a CoNi alloy decorated N-doped carbon nanotube (CoNi-NCNT) electrocatalyst using a dual-ligand strategy.

China National Health Commission issued an implementation plan for budget performance management in health projects in April 2021, which emphasizes all health projects must be evaluated in advance prior to implementation. The study aims to develop an ex-ante performance evaluation framework for health projects and formulate a self-assessment report template. The study also attempts to gain insights into the ex-ante performance of health projects in China, identify issues and explore the factors that influence the ex-ante performance of health projects and make suggestions about improvement strategies.

Methods: The clinical data of patients hospitalized with VUR due to a urinary tract infection (UTI) between September 1, 2019, and December 31, 2020, were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups: an anallergic constitution group (AC group) and a non-allergic constitution (NAC group), and their UTIs and VUR were compared at baseline and during the follow-up period.
Background: Neurocognitive impairment is one of the prominent manifestations of major depressive disorder (MDD). Childhood trauma enhances vulnerability to developing MDD and contributes to neurocognitive dysfunctions. However, the distinct impacts of different types of childhood trauma on neurocognitive processes in MDD remain unclear.

Child-onset SLE (cSLE) is associated with significantly higher morbidity and mortality than adult-onset SLE. The traditional treatments for SLE (glucocorticoids, antimalarials, conventional and biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs) often have significant adverse effects and may not fully control disease activity.

Purpose: As the major active ingredient of Polygonatum sibriricum Red., polysaccharide of Polygonati Rhizome (PSP) has been reported to possess various pharmacological activities, especially for the treatment of chronic disorders in the elderly. This study evaluated the effect of PSP on the activities of major cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYP450) isoforms, aiming to provide theoretical reference for its co-prescription with other drugs and prevent the risk of adverse drug-drug interaction.

The aim of this study is to establish the WPNSS for day surgery patients using the Kano model and to preliminarily assess its efficacy.
Methods: WPNSS for day surgery was devised leveraging Internet hospital information systems and patient mobile terminals (WeChat), guided by the World Health Organization's conceptual framework for scaling-up strategies.
Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is associated with deficits in cognitive function, thought to be related to underlying decreased hedonic experiences. Further research is needed to fully elucidate the role of functional brain activity in this relationship. In this study, we investigated the neurofunctional correlate of the interplay between cognitive function and hedonic experiences in medication-free MDD using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).

This study aims to explore the associations between dietary quality, sleep duration, and depression symptoms, as well as their combined effects.
Methods: The NHANES 2007 to 2014 cycles provided the data for this study, in which 19,134 adults aged 20 years and older were included.
Background: OASL (Oligoadenylate Synthetase-Like), an interferon-induced protein in the OAS family, plays a significant role in anti-viral response. Studies have demonstrated its association with prognosis of certain tumors. However, the mechanism through which OASL affects tumors is unclear.

Objectives: Our objective is to investigate the correlation between vitamin D and GDM by employing Mendelian randomization (MR) with summary data obtained from genome-wide association studies (GWAS).
Methods: Data on exposures and outcomes, namely vitamin D, vitamin D insufficiency, and GDM, were acquired from the IEU OpenGWAS Project.
Background: In recent years, the development of global public health has become a matter of great concern and importance for governments worldwide. China, as the largest developing country, plays a crucial role in shaping the development of the public health and its ability to respond to sudden public health emergencies through the fairness of its human resource allocation in center for disease control and prevention (CDC).
Objective: This study aims to analyze the situation of health human resource allocation in the China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDCs), assess the fairness of the allocation, and provide reference for the rational allocation of human resources.
