This study aimed to further elucidate the risk factors for lymph node metastasis (LNM) in patients with pT1 CRC, especially the effect of DSI on LNM.
Methods: Patients with pT1 CRC who underwent lymph node dissection were selected.
Aeolian sand is distributed worldwide, exhibiting poor grading, low cohesion, and loose structure. Infrastructure construction in desert areas sometimes requires stabilization of the sand, with cement as the primary curing agent. This study first employed orthogonal experiments to evaluate critical factors, e.

This study proposed antibiotic-free antibacterial nanoparticles for eliminating methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) based on a multi-model synergistic antibacterial ability of chemodynamic therapy (CDT), photothermal effect, and innate immunomodulation. Specifically, a polydopamine (PDA) layer coated and Ag nanoparticles loaded core-shell structure FeO nanoparticles (FeO@PDA-Ag) is prepared.

This comprehensive analysis delves into the multifaceted role of zinc finger protein 207 (ZNF207) in pan-cancer, shedding light on its involvement in tumorigenesis, immune evasion, and therapeutic implications. Through integrated genomic and clinical data analysis, we reveal consistent upregulation of ZNF207 across diverse cancer types, highlighting its potential as a prognostic marker and therapeutic target, particularly for liver cancers.

Notably, HBV infection stands as the primary etiologicalfactor driving the development of HCC. Given the significant contribution ofHBV infection to liver diseases, a comprehensive understanding of immunedynamics in the liver microenvironment, spanning chronic HBV infection, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and HCC, is essential.

Current clinical approaches using titanium alloys or stainless steel provide mechanical support but have no biological effects on bone regeneration. Therefore, designing and fabricating degradable metal materials with sufficient mechanical strength and bidirectional regulation of both osteoblasts and osteoclasts is a substantial challenge.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed clinicopathologic and endoscopic features of ten patients with GHIP who were admitted to Beijing Friendship Hospital from March 2013 to July 2022.
Background: The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) attachment may be damaged in cruciate-retaining total knee arthroplasty (CR-TKA) using the complete resection for tibial preparation, and resection amount varies greatly among individuals. Discoid lateral meniscus (DLM) is one of the most common anatomic knee variants. This study aimed to evaluate the difference in PCL attachment sacrifice in CR-TKA between patients with and without DLM.

In this study, a sandwiched composite coating containing a triclosan (TCS)-loaded poly(lactic acid) (PLA) layer inside and brushite (DCPD) layer outside was prepared on the surface of the Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr (denoted as JDBM) implant. degradation tests revealed a remarkable improvement in the corrosion resistance and moderate degradation rate.

Background: Lateral lymph node metastasis (LLNM) is frequent in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and is associated with a poor prognosis. This study aimed to developed a clinical-ultrasound (Clin-US) nomogram to predict LLNM in patients with PTC.
Methods: In total, 2612 PTC patients from two hospitals (H1: 1732 patients in the training cohort and 578 patients in the internal testing cohort; H2: 302 patients in the external testing cohort) were retrospectively enrolled.
We report an unusual case of autoimmune gastritis (AIG) complicated with a submucosal tumor (SMT) and two pedunculated polyps in a 60-year-old man. The patient was admitted for epigastric distention, heartburn, and anorexia. Endoscopy showed an SMT in the fundus, two pedunculated polyps in the body, and markedly atrophic mucosa of the body and fundus.

It can be used as a delivery vector for genes and drugs, supporting conventional treatments that lack tumor-targeting abilities.

However, the cumbersome and problematic preparation procedure have limited their widespread application. Additive manufacturing has revolutionized the design and process of orthopedic implants, but the pore architecture feature of porous tantalum scaffolds prepared from additive materials for optimal osseointegration are unclear, particularly the influence of porosity.

The symptoms of amyloidosis vary depending on the affected organs. Amyloid accumulation in the kidney generally manifests as proteinuria or impaired kidney function, whereas cases with gastrointestinal (GI) involvement present as abdominal pain, weight loss, or GI bleeding.

PFO closure complications include bleeding, need for procedure-related surgical intervention, pulmonary emboli, device malpositioning, new onset atrial arrhythmias, and transient atrioventricular block. Rates of PFO closure complications at a national level in the Unites States remain unknown.

This study aimed to evaluate and unify their diagnostic accuracy and the threshold selection of serum and synovial routine tests for PJI at an early stage.
Methods: We searched the MEDLINE and Embase databases for retrospective or prospective studies which reported preoperative-available assays (serum, synovial, or culture tests) for the diagnosis of chronic PJI among inflammatory arthritis (IA) or non-IA populations from January 1, 2000 to June 30, 2022.
Epstein-Barr virus-associated gastric cancer (EBVaGC) is a subtype of gastric cancer morphologically characterized by massive lymphocyte infiltration. We herein report the short-term outcomes of three rare cases of intramucosal EBVaGC treated with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). Histologically, the lesions exhibited poorly to moderately differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma without lymphovascular invasion, and hybridization revealed EBV-encoded small RNA.

Due to excellent mechanical properties and similar elastic modulus compared with human cortical bone, polyetheretherketone (PEEK) has become one of the most promising orthopedic implant materials. However, implant-associated infections (IAIs) remain a challenging issue since PEEK is bio-inert. In order to fabricate an antibacterial bio-functional surface, modifications of PEEK had been widely investigated.
