Objective: This study aims to examine the association between home-based community care services (HBCCS) and mental health in older adults and specifically analyzes rural-urban differences in the association.
Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled 852 older adults from Zhejiang Province, China. The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7), University of California Los Angeles 3-item Loneliness Scale (UCLA-3), and the Mental Health (MH) component score of the 36-item Short Form (SF-36) were used to measure self-reported mental health status.
Background: Subthreshold depression (sD) is prevalent in older populations in long-term care (LTC) settings, but psychological therapy in LTC settings in China is not readily available. Thus, internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) may be suitable for this population, but research on the efficacy of ICBT for older adults with sD, especially those living in LTC settings, is limited.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and acceptability of ICBT treatment for sD among LTC residents in China.
Aims: Observational studies have suggested that anaemia is associated with an increased risk of heart failure (HF). But the potential causal association is not clear. We aimed to investigate the association between anaemia and HF risk.

First, three primary color CGHs of different frames from a color movie are fabricated on holographic recording material by a self-made CGH microfilming system. Secondly, the CGH is fixed on an X-Y moving stage, which is controlled by the system in order to bring the CGH to the appointed position.

However, as adults with sD are less likely to seek face-to-face intervention, internet-based cognitive-behavioral therapy (ICBT) may overcome barriers of accessibility to psychotherapy. Although several trials explored the efficacy of ICBT for sD, the results remain inconsistent.

Recent studies have confirmed that inhibitor of differentiation 1 plays an important role in the endothelial-mesenchymal transition of vascular endothelial cells, angiogenesis, reendothelialization after injury, and the formation and rupture of atherosclerotic plaques. An in-depth understanding of the role of inhibitor of differentiation 1 in atherosclerosis will provide new ideas and strategies for the treatment of related diseases.

Very few studies have examined the effects of Internet-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) on older adults living in nursing homes during the pandemic. We conducted a feasibility study using a single-group design, to explore the effectiveness of ICBT on psychological distress in 137 older adults (without cognitive impairment) from 8 nursing homes in 4 southeast cities in China, between January and March 2020.

Background: The home environment is an important means of support in home-based care services for older people. A home environment that facilitates healthy aging can help older adults maximize their self-care abilities and integrate and utilize care resources. However, some home environments fail to meet the needs of older adults with disabilities.

However, highly photostable PS nanoparticles with extraordinary photoconversion capacities are urgently desired to fully realize potent phototherapy. Here, NIR nonlinear organic chromophore nanoparticles (NOC-NPs) are shown as single-component PS for dually cooperative phototherapy.

Background: As internet and social media use have skyrocketed, epidemiologists have begun to use online data such as Google query data and Twitter trends to track the activity levels of influenza and other infectious diseases. In China, Weibo is an extremely popular microblogging site that is equivalent to Twitter. Capitalizing on the wealth of public opinion data contained in posts on Weibo, this study used Weibo as a measure of the Chinese people's reactions to two different outbreaks: the 2012 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) outbreak, and the 2013 outbreak of human infection of avian influenza A(H7N9) in China.
