Mobile technologies are commonly used and are important by high school students, since teens ages 14 to 17 use these open platforms to share information, communication and construction of their desired cyber identity. Accompanying technology for related data privacy within implementing educational applications is yet to be developed. Electronic medical record (EMR) systems have enabled healthcare providers to collect detailed patient information from the primary care domain. At the same time, longitudinal data from EMRs are increasingly combined with biorepositories to generate personalized clinical decision support protocols. Emerging policies encourage investigators to disseminate such data in a deidentified form for reuse and collaboration, but organizations are hesitant to do so because they fear such actions will jeopardize patient privacy.

The classification of G-Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) sequences is an important problem that arises from the need to close the gap between the large number of orphan receptors and the relatively small number of annotated receptors. Equally important is the characterization of GPCR Class A subfamilies and gaining insight into the ligand interaction since GPCR Class A encompasses a very large number of drug-targeted receptors. In this work, we propose a method for Class A subfamily classification using sequence-derived motifs which characterizes the subfamilies by discovering receptor-ligand interaction sites.
