Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) remains a significant challenge in neonatal care, the pathogenesis of which potentially involves altered lipid metabolism. Given the critical role of lipids in lung development and the injury response, we hypothesized that specific lipid species could serve as therapeutic agents in BPD. This study aimed to investigate the role of the lipid Phosphatidylcholine (PC) (16:0/14:0) in modulating BPD pathology and to elucidate its underlying mechanisms of action.

The function of circDNAJB6 was investigated at the cell and animal levels. Nuclear and Cytoplasmic RNA extraction kits and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were used to explore the distribution of circDNAJB6 in cells, and the potential mechanism of circDNAJB6 was verified by q-PCR, luciferase assays and rescue experiments.

Owing to nano-MoS's excellent anti-friction and anti-wear properties, nano-MoS, which can act as a nano-additive in lubricating oil or solid lubricants, is believed to have great potential in the lubrication of power machinery and moving parts of a spacecraft. The molecular dynamics method was used to construct a rough surface and a multi-level asperity structure to simulate starved lubrication before oil film breakdown, and the lubrication mechanism of MoS as a nano-additive or directly coated on the textured surface could reduce the friction coefficient and wear was explained from the atomic perspective. Simulations showed that the multilayer MoS played a role of load-bearing at light load or low velocity, and slipped into the grooves to repair the surface under heavy load or high velocity.

In this study, a real-time high-temperature impact compression test was conducted on Sejila Mountain granite to explore the effects of temperature and external load on its mechanical properties. Based on the concepts of damage mechanics and statistics, a coupled thermal-mechanical (T-M) damage constitutive model was established, which considers the temperature effect and uses the double-shear unified strength as the yield criterion.

Exosomes are abundant in breast milk, but the function of HBM-derived exosomes (HBM-Exo) in BPD is still unclear. This study was to investigate the role and mechanism of HBM-Exo in BPD.

What Is Added By This Report?: The Sixth Total Diet Study (TDS) indicated that the dietary intake of PBDEs was unlikely to pose significant health risks for the general Chinese people using the margin of exposure (MOE) approach recommended by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
What Are The Implications For Public Health Practice?: This study highlights the necessity of continuous national monitoring of the dietary intake and strict legislation of PBDEs in China.

To study the dynamic mechanical characteristics and constitutive relation of concrete materials under freeze-thaw (FT) cycle conditions, C35 concrete was taken as the research object in this paper, and FT tests were carried out with a freeze-thaw range of -20-20 °C and a freeze-thaw frequency up to 50 times. By using the separated Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) system, impact compression tests of concrete specimens under different FT cycle actions were developed, then the dynamic fracture morphology, fracture block distribution, stress-strain curve, peak stress and other dynamic mechanical properties of concrete were analyzed, and the influence law of FT action and strain rate was obtained. Through introducing the freeze-thaw deterioration damage factor and the stress damage variable, the dynamic visco-elastic damage constitutive equation of freeze-thawed concrete was constructed based on component combination theory.

By using ANSYS/LS-DYNA, the finite element numerical simulation of the test process was illustrated. The research showed that under passive confining pressure, the more the loading rate is increased, the more obvious the effect of the passive confining pressure on the concrete specimen, as well as the more significant the improvement of the peak stress compared with the uniaxial test.

After natural cooling and water cooling to normal temperature, an impact compression test was carried out at different loading rates using a Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) system with a diameter of 100 mm, and finally the crushed specimens were subjected to a sieving test. The effects of elevated temperatures, cooling methods, heating gradients, and loading rates on the fragment size distribution, fractal characteristics, and energy dissipation of impact-compressed concrete specimens were studied.
