It is unclear how prior antiplatelet (APT) therapy affects outcomes of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) undergoing endovascular treatment. This review pooled data from the literature to compare outcomes of AIS between prior APT users vs non-users. PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL, and Scopus for studies were searched for studies comparing outcomes of AIS between APT users vs non-users up to 30th May 2023.

Weight loss associated with fruit texture during storage has received numerous reports; however, no research has been conducted on the mathematical relationships between weight loss and textural traits of table grapes stored at cold and ambient temperatures. In this study, it was found that the weight loss of 'Red Globe' was in the range of 0 to 0.0487, 0 to 0.

The clinical significance of preoperative serum triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein, and low-density lipoprotein levels in lung squamous cell carcinoma.

To evaluate the prognostic role of the preoperative plasma lipid profile, including triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) who underwent complete resection. Clinical data, including preoperative plasma profile levels, were retrospectively collected and reviewed in 300 patients with LUSC who underwent radical lung resection between 2016 and 2017. The overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) were assessed by the Kaplan-Meier method and the Cox proportional hazards regression model.

Predicting mortality in acute ischaemic stroke treated with mechanical thrombectomy: analysis of a multicentre prospective registry.

Objectives: We aimed to determine predictors of mortality within 90 days and develop a simple score for patients with mechanical thrombectomy (MT).

Design: Analysis of a multicentre prospective registry.

Setting: In six participating centres, patients who had an acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) treated by MT between March 2017 and May 2018 were documented prospectively.

[The role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in pulmonary hypertension in rat induced by chronic hypoxia and hypercapnia].

Objective: To observe the pulmonary vascular remodeling in rats with pulmonary hypertension induced by hypoxia and hypercapnia, and to explore the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in pulmonary hypertension.

Methods: Forty SD rats were random-ly divided into four groups:normoxic control group (N), hypoxia hypercapnia group (HH), ERS inhibitor 4-phenylbutyric acid group (4-PBA), endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) pathway agonist tunicamycin group (TM), ten rats in each group.The mean pulmona-ry artery pressure (mPAP), mean carotid artery pressure (mCAP) and right ventricular hypertrophy index of rats in each group were measured.

[The effect of Yiqi Wenyang Huoxue Huatan Fang on hypoxia-hypercarbia induced pulmonary hypertension and its mechanism].

Objective: To investigate the effect of Yiqi Wenyang Huoxue Huatan Fang (YWHHF) on alleviating hypoxia-hypercarbia pulmonary hypertension by inhibiting endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EndoMT) BMP-7/Smads pathway.

Methods: Fifty male healthy SD rats of clean grede, weighting (180~220) g, were randomly divided into 5 groups (=10):normoxia group (N), hypoxia-hypercarbia group (HH); YWHHF high dose group (YH), middle dose group (YM) and low dose group (YL). The rats in N group were kept in normal oxygen environment, the remaining four groups were intermittently exposed to hypoxia-hypercarbia environment (9%~11% O, 5%~6% CO) for 4 weeks, 6 days a week, 8 hours per day.

Endovascular treatment with tirofiban during the acute stage of cervical spinal cord infarction due to vertebral artery dissection.

Cervical spinal cord infarction is a rare and severe complication of vertebral artery dissection (VAD). We report a case of VAD in an acute stage followed by cervical spinal cord infarction that was treated using direct endovascular tirofiban infusion via digital subtraction angiography (DSA) monitoring. A 48-year-old man presented with vertigo, neck pain, numbness and weakness in four limbs with subsequent cardiac and respiratory arrest.

Baseline platelet parameters for predicting early platelet response and clinical outcomes in patients with non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke treated with clopidogrel.

Purpose: The present study investigated whether routine baseline platelet parameters(BPPs) detected before clopidogrel therapy in acute non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke(NCIS) could predict early platelet response and future clinical outcomes.

Results: The polymorphisms constituted independent risk factors for LCR. The number of female patients, the incidence of diabetes mellitus (DM), the level of low-density lipoprotein(LDL) cholesterol, and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) were significantly high in the clinical clopidogrel resistance (CCR) group.
