Keloids are pathological scars exhibiting tumour-like aggressiveness and high recurrence rate. Here we find increased proportion of pro-inflammatory and mesenchymal fibroblast subpopulations and senescent fibroblasts, and enhanced expression of senescence-associated secretory phenotype genes using single-cell RNA sequencing analysis, as well as elevated p16 protein and more β-galactosidase-positive cells in keloids. The up-regulated p53-serine15 phosphorylation (p53-pS15) in keloids is identified by phosphospecific protein microarray and western blotting.

Methods: We have searched 8 databases, including PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, WOS, Epistemonikos, CNKI, WAN-FANG Database, and CBM, and were selected for the clinical trials about PCNSL. A total of 37 studies were included in our analysis, consisting of 6 randomized controlled trials and 31 single-arm clinical studies.
The expanded forehead flap based on the frontal branch of the superficial temporal artery (STA-Fbr) is a versatile technique for reconstructing cervicofacial defects. The aim of this study was to summarize STA-Fbr forehead flap harvesting patterns. Between July 2003 and July 2023, 66 patients (43 males) underwent face and neck defect reconstruction using STA-Fbr-based forehead flaps.

However, the dynamics of condensate droplets on horizontal tube bundles remains complex and insufficiently studied. This paper presents a detailed investigation of the impact of dynamic behaviors of condensate droplets by numerical simulation using the Volume of Fluid model.

This study presents a novel approach to SCSC reconstruction using a combination of pre-expanded bipedicled forehead and lower trapezius musculocutaneous flaps. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 25 patients who underwent this procedure between April 2004 and July 2020.

Currently, soil moisture (SM) drought and its effects on vegetation growth have been rarely reported, due to lacking observations and data uncertainties. Here we used ERA5-Land, ESA CCI, and GLDAS Noah SM to investigate the spatiotemporal patterns of summertime (May-September) SM drought and its impacts on vegetation over 1995-2018.

Although preexpanded cervical flaps can provide a like-with-like reconstruction, a simple advancement transfer of the flaps often fails to achieve ideal outcomes. The authors aimed to introduce a method using the preexpanded cervical flaps transferred in a scarf-wrapping manner to repair neck defects.

Objective: To compare the application effects of three different extubation techniques in patients with mechanical ventilation in intensive care unit (ICU).
Methods: A prospective randomized controlled study was conducted. Mechanical ventilation patients admitted to the critical care department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from July to November 2023 were enrolled.
Selective electrocatalytic hydrogenation (ECH) of phenol is a sustainable route to produce cyclohexanone, an industrially important feedstock for polymer synthesis. However, attaining high selectivity and faradaic efficiency (FE) for cyclohexanone remain challenging, owning to over-hydrogenation of phenol to cyclohexanol and competition of hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, by employing hydrogen spillover effect, we modulate adsorbed hydrogen species (H) coverage on Pt surface via migration to TiO in an anatase TiO-supported Pt catalyst.

However, commonly reported CMPs are synthesized through metal catalyzed coupling reactions, which require complicated product separation and result in increased costs. In this study, two sp carbon-linked CMPs are constructed by organic base induced Knoevenagel reaction using 2,6-dimethylbenzo[1,2-d:4,5-d']bisoxazole and aromatic polyaldehydes as co-monomers.

Background: Tissue engineering based on whole-organ perfusion decellularization has successfully generated small-animal organs, including the heart and limbs. Herein, we aimed to use angiosome-guided perfusion decellularization to develop an acellular fasciocutaneous flap matrix with an intact vascular network.
Methods: Abdominal flaps of rats were harvested, and the vascular pedicle (iliac artery and vein) was dissected and injected with methylene blue to identify the angiosome region and determine the flap dimension for harvesting.
Polymer-based dielectric film capacitors are essential energy storage components in electronic and power systems due to their ultrahigh power density and ultra-fast charge storage/release capability. Nonetheless, their relatively low energy density does not fully meet the requirements of power electronics and pulsed power systems. Herein, a scalable composite dielectric film based on a ferroelectric polymer with edge hydroxylated boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS-OH) is fabricated via the construction of a hydrogen bonding network and stretching orientation strategy.

The authors present their experience with axillary contracture reconstruction using preexpanded brachial artery perforator propeller (BAPP) flaps and provide a systematic review of other regional or free flaps.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients who underwent postburn axillary contracture reconstruction using preexpanded BAPP flaps from 2015 to 2022.
Summary: Indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) is a useful tool for the visual assessment of superficial blood flow. The authors used ICGA to visualize perforator branches and linking vessels to provide a road map for flap design of an expanded flap. Twenty-eight expansions were planned to use the back-cut technique in 26 patients.

While forehead flaps are commonly used to reconstruct perioral defects, in cases involving partial upper lip defects where normal anatomical structures are preserved, traditional forehead flaps may compromise esthetics. This study aimed to address this issue by employing bipedicled preexpanded forehead flaps based on the frontal branches of the superficial temporal artery (hereafter, "STA-bfb-based preexpanded forehead flap") with random flap extensions to repair perioral defects.

Nevertheless, more and more studies have evidence that TME has essential effects on tumor cell proliferation, immune escape, and drug resistance. Thus, it is critical to elucidate the role of TME in PCNSL.

However, achieving high selectivity for MF as well as tuning the selectivity between FA and MF within one reaction system remain challenging. Herein, we have reported an electrode-electrolyte interface modification strategy, enabling FA and MF selectivity steering under the same reaction conditions.

The current study was to evaluate daratumumab-related adverse events (AEs) through data mining of the US Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS).
Research Design And Methods: Disproportionality analyses, including the reporting odds ratio (ROR), the proportional reporting ratio (PRR), the Bayesian confidence propagation neural network (BCPNN) and the multi-item gamma Poisson shrinker (MGPS) algorithms were employed to quantify the signals of daratumumab-associated AEs.
Photoactive conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) as heterogeneous photocatalysts provide a sustainable alternative to classical metal-based semiconductor photosensitizers. However, previously reported CMPs are typically synthesized through metal catalyzed coupling reactions, which bears product separation, but also increases the price of materials. Herein, a new type of sp carbon linked DCM-CMPs are successfully designed and synthesized by organic base catalyzed Knoevenagel reaction using 2,6-Dimethyl-4H-pyran-4-ylidene-malononitrile and aromatic polyaldehydes as monomers.
