Background: Spinocerebellar ataxia recessive type 7 (SCAR7) is a rare clinical manifestation beginning in childhood or adolescence. SCAR7 is caused by tripeptidyl peptidase 1 () gene mutations, and presents with cerebellar ataxia, pyramidal signs, neurocognitive impairment, deep paresthesia, and cerebellar atrophy.
Case Summary: Here, we describe a 25-year-old female patient in China who presented with increasing difficulty walking, falling easily, shaking limbs, instability holding items, slurred speech, coughing when drinking, palpitations, and frequent hunger and overeating.

Based on the higher oxidation potential of OH radicals (2.8 V), the synergetic effect of pulsed discharge plasma (PDP) and activated carbon (AC) and the advantages of emission spectroscopic detection, such as easy operation, high accuracy and high sensitivity, the relative emission spectra of the OH radicals generated in the PDP/AC system with oxygen flow were measured by the emission spectroscopic detection technique and the spectral intensity of the OH radicals was used to represent the relative amount of the OH radicals formed in the reaction system. Sludge solubilization with and without EPS was studied in the enzymatic system, and in the normal system without enzyme addition, respectively. The result indicated that only EPS could be hydrolyzed when the enzyme addition less than 20 mg/g, while the cell lysis occurred significantly with the doses of enzymes increasing.
