The molecular editing of ketones represents an appealing strategy due to its ability to maximize the structural diversity of ketone compounds in a straightforward manner. However, developing efficient methods for the arbitrary modification of ketonic molecules, particularly those integrated within complex skeletons, remains a significant challenge. Herein, we present a unique strategy for ketone recasting that involves radical acylation of -functionalized ketones facilitated by -heterocyclic carbene and photo dual catalysis.

The mice were divided into the control group, cyclophosphamide-induced (CTX) group, and ABPs-treated (ABP) group. The results showed that, compared with the CTX group, ABPs could significantly improve the spleen index and alleviate the pathological changes in immune organs.

A validated modified Chinese Baecke questionnaire was used to prospectively measure sports activities among a breast cancer cohort at four time-points: baseline and 18, 36, and 60 months after diagnosis (sports activities during the previous 12 months before each interview); QoL was measured at the same time. In total, 1289, 1125, and 1116 patients were included in the analyses at 18-, 36- and 60-month follow-up, respectively.

This study aimed to identify dietary pattern before and after breast cancer diagnosis. In addition, the association between dietary patterns and QoL were cross-sectionally and longitudinally investigated.

The present study described the change patterns of body weight and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) during the first 5 years of survival, and investigated potential factors associated with very substantial changes.
Patients And Methods: Based on a longitudinal cohort with 1462 Chinese women with breast cancer, anthropometric measurements including body weight, height, waist and hip circumferences were measured by trained interviewers following standard protocol at four time-points: baseline at study entry, 18-, 36- and 60-months follow up assessments (termed as T0, T1, T2 and T3, respectively).
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate changes of QoL during the first 5 years of survival among disease-free Chinese breast cancer survivors.
Methods: A prospective cohort study enrolled 1462 Chinese women with early-stage breast cancer, and longitudinally visited those patients at four time-points, namely baseline (T0), 18- (T1), 36- (T2), and 60-month (T3) after diagnosis. This study included 992 patients who were disease-free during the first 5 years of survival and who had completed QoL assessments at all four time-points.
Background: In this cohort study, the objectives were to determine bone mineral density (BMD) and potential associated factors for bone health among young premenopausal patients after adjuvant chemotherapy.
Methods: Eligibility criteria included premenopausal Chinese aged <45 years who had received adjuvant chemotherapy. At study entry, background demographics and menstrual history were collected; BMD was measured.
Background: To compare change in level of physical activity between pre-and post- diagnosis of breast cancer in Chinese women.
Methods: Based on an on-going prospective study consisting of a sample of Chinese women with breast cancer, a validated modified Chinese Baecke questionnaire was used to measure physical activity at baseline (12 months before cancer diagnosis), 18-, 36- and 60-months after diagnosis (over the previous 12 months before each interview).
Results: In our cohort of 1462 Chinese women with a mean age of 52 years, the mean level of physical activity at post-diagnosis was 9.
Objective: It is unclear how primary colorectal cancer (CRC) cells select to metastasize to the liver or lungs, the most frequent distant metastasis of CRC. We aimed to identify the key genes and pathways that may predict the distant metastasis of CRC to these sites.
Methods: Three gene expression array datasets from the Gene Expression Omnibus were analyzed.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a global health problem in which gut microbiota dysbiosis plays an important pathogenic role. However, the current drugs for IBD treatment are far from optimal. Previous researches indicated that parthenolide (PTL) had not only anti-cancer properties but also strong anti-inflammatory activities.

Methods: In an on-going prospective cohort study that involved 1462 Chinese women with early stage breast cancer, MPS were assessed at 18, 36 and 60 months after cancer diagnosis using the validated menopausal rating scale (MRS) questionnaire. Daily soy food intake for the previous 12 months was assessed at the same time using a validated food frequency questionnaire.
This study evaluated biological treatment of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)-containing wastewater from semiconductor industry under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. DMSO concentration as higher as 1.5 g/L did not inhibit DMSO degradation efficiency in aerobic membrane bioreactor (MBR), while specific DMSO degradation rate at different initial DMSO-to-biomass (S/X) ratios from batch tests seemed to follow the Haldane-type kinetics.

Patients And Methods: In an ongoing prospective cohort study which involved 1,462 Chinese women with early-stage breast cancer, validated food frequency questionnaire was used to assess prediagnostic dietary intake (using questionnaire to recall dietary intake before diagnosis, which completed at baseline, ie, 0-12 months after diagnosis) and postdiagnostic dietary intake at 18-month and 36-month follow-ups after diagnosis.
The 2007 World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute for Cancer Research (WCRF/AICR) guideline provides recommendations for cancer prevention among cancer survivors. Limited data have examined whether guideline adherence is related to health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among Chinese patients with breast cancer. An ongoing prospective cohort study involving 1,462 Chinese women with early-stage breast cancer assessed exercise, diet, and body mass index (BMI) at baseline and at 18-months follow-up after diagnosis.

Whole transcriptome sequencing not only provides insight into the expression of all transcribed genes, but offers an efficient approach for identifying genetic variations, including gene fusions, mutations and alternative splicing. In this study, we performed whole transcriptome sequencing of 10 patients with stage IIIA lung SQCC, and discovered a large number of single nucleotide variants (SNVs; mean of 12.

This study explored ALK variants and the percentage of ALK-positive cells using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) on clinical efficacy of crizotinib.
Patients And Methods: A total of 120 patients with ALK rearrangement who were treated with criztotinib were enrolled.
Background: Crizotinib has been associated with intracranial disease control in anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with brain metastases. Continued crizotinib treatment has also been used for prolonged disease control in patients experiencing isolated central nervous system (CNS) failure. However, there are few studies of crizotinib efficacy in ALK-positive Chinese patients.

Approximately 15-23% of breast cancers over-express human epidermal growth factor receptor2 (HER2), a 185-kDa transmembrane tyrosine kinase, which is mainly found at the cell surface of tumor cells. HER2-positive breast cancer, featuring amplification of HER2/neu and negative expression of ER and PR, has the three following characteristics: rapid tumor growth, lower survival rate, and better response to adjuvant therapies.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) is an important signaling pathway in living beings in response to extracellular stimuli. There are 5 main subgroups manipulating by a set of sequential actions: ERK(ERK1/ ERK2), c-Jun N(JNK/SAPK), p38 MAPK(p38α, p38β, p38γ and p38δ), and ERK3/ ERK4/ ERK5. When stimulated, factors of upstream or downstream change, and by interacting with each other, these groups have long been recognized to be related to multiple biologic processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, death, migration, invasion and inflammation.

Diagnostic goals described previously in literature should be achieved preferably by using the safest, least invasive, and least costly biopsies. Insight into molecular profile and era of targeted therapy challenged the previous concepts on tumor biopsy.
