Background: Increased understanding of the etiology of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) emphasizes the importance of non-pharmaceutical treatments. This study compares the effects of Baduanjin exercise, a Qigong-based body therapy from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), with routine physical exercise on school-aged children diagnosed with ADHD.
Methods: In this two-arm, single-blind, randomized controlled trial, eligible school-aged children with ADHD were randomly assigned (1:1) to Baduanjin exercise or regular physical exercise using a permuted block randomization procedure.

A phytochemical investigation on 90% methanol extract from the leaves of led to the isolation of three new triterpenoids, jugsigiloids A-C (-). Structural elucidation of all the compounds were performed by spectral methods such as 1 D and 2 D (H-H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC) NMR spectroscopy, in addition to high resolution mass spectrometry. The isolated components were evaluated for anti-inflammatory activities against COX-1 and COX-2 and radical scavenging potential using DPPH test.
