Introduction: Small bowel capsule endoscopy is a first-line examination method for small bowel diseases, which can find small intestinal lumen and mucosal lesions.
Methods: We retrospectively assessed patients who underwent small bowel capsule endoscopy between September 2020 and May 2023 to examine their clinical and small bowel capsule endoscopic data, aiming to provide insights into the application of this technique in pediatric patients with small intestinal diseases.
Results: All instances of capsule retention were successfully resolved through enteroscopy.
The present study aimed to explore the effect of melittin (MLT) on the growth of Schwann cells (SCs) in high glucose conditions and to understand the mechanisms involved. The goal was to provide a theoretical basis for using MLT in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). View Article and Find Full Text PDFThis study aimed to construct a non-invasive diagnostic nomogram based on high-frequency ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging results for early liver cirrhosis patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) which cannot be detected by conventional non-invasive examination methods but can only be diagnosed through invasive liver puncture for pathological examination. 72 patients with CHB were enrolled in this prospective study, and divided into S4 stage of liver cirrhosis and S0-S3 stage of non-liver cirrhosis according to pathological findings. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent predictors, and a diagnostic nomogram was constructed for CHB-related early cirrhosis.

Background: Previous studies have reported that abnormal interlimb coordination is a typical characteristic of motor developmental delay (MDD) during human movement, which can be visually manifested as abnormal motor postures. Clinically, the scale assessments are usually used to evaluate interlimb coordination, but they rely heavily on the subjective judgements of therapists and lack quantitative analysis. In addition, although abnormal interlimb coordination of MDD have been studied, it is still unclear how this abnormality is manifested in physiology-related kinematic features.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the accuracy and test-retest reliability of a wearable inertial measurement unit (IMU) system for gait analysis in healthy female compared to a gold-standard optoelectronic motion capture (OMC) system.
Methods: In our study, we collected data from 5 healthy young females. Participants were attached with markers from both the OMC system and the IMU system simultaneously.

Results: The area under the ROC curve (AUC) of red blood cell immune complex rosettes (RBC-ICR) and red blood cell C3b receptor rosette (RBC-C3bR) in diagnosing pathological jaundice and assessing the efficacy of blue light therapy overweighed 0.
