A new negative-working photoinitiator-free polyimide was developed for photolithographic processes. The polyimide introduced a photosensitive benzophenone unit into the backbone and a cross-linking group (methacrylate) into the side chains. A novel pre-functionalized diamine monomer was designed to avoid using corrosive sulfonyl chloride in the polyimide side-chain introduction step.

Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) have garnered attention due to their potential immunomodulatory and tissue repair regenerative effects in the management of chronic wounds. However, stem-cell-based therapy faces challenges such as malignant differentiation, immune rejection, and long-term effectiveness.

Methods: This study adopted a cross-sectional design, involving patients with depression symptoms and those without depression symptoms with comprehensive NPAR data originated from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES) spanning 2011 to 2018.
Background: Dentigerous cysts (DCs) are among the most frequently odontogenic cysts in young and middle-aged individuals. Marsupialization and enucleation are the main treatment options in clinical practice. However, there are few reports on preserving molars severely involved by the cyst.

In this work, we designed a new time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay (TRFIA) platform to overcome these limitations. This platform uses europium chelate polystyrene (PS@Eu) nanoparticles conjugated with monoclonal antibodies to sense multiple mycotoxins.

Background: Understanding the effects of different additions of adzuki bean flour (ABF) on structural and functional characteristics of extruded buckwheat noodles is important in developing high-quality starchy foods with desirable glycemic indexes. This study explored how varying amounts of ABF in extruded buckwheat noodles influenced their structural and functional characteristics.
Results: The findings indicated that adding ABF substantially boosted the levels of protein and flavonoids, while decreasing the content of fat and starch.
is a cadmium (Cd) and zinc (Zn) accumulator with potential for phytoextraction of soil contaminated with heavy metals. However, how Zn affects Cd accumulation in remains unclear. In this study, seedlings were treated with 100 μmol·L Zn (Zn100), 100 μmol·L Cd (Cd100), and the Zn and Cd combination (Zn100+Cd100) for 10 days under hydroponic culture.

This study aimed to estimate the association of individual urinary exposure to multiple elements with GPL and GC.
Methods: A case-control investigation was conducted in Anhui Province from March 2021 to December 2022.
Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomal dominant disorder caused by mutations of the NF1 tumor suppressor gene, characterized by café-au-lait spots, neurofibromas, and Lisch nodules. Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is an extremely rare malignancy with neural differentiation potential. The lifetime risk of developing MPNST in NF-1 patients is 8%-13%.

This study assesses the improvement in nitrogen and phosphorus removal from wastewater achieved through the integration of zeolite and attapulgite carrier materials into the activated sludge (AS) process. It was found that the addition of these materials significantly enhanced the processing performance of the reactor. Specifically, the use of zeolite and attapulgite powders increased sludge particle sizes to averages of 231.

An excessive inflammatory response can lead to tissue damage and various chronic diseases. Chronic inflammation is a common feature of many diseases, making the search for drugs to treat inflammation-related diseases urgent.

Specifically, injectable citrate-based bioactive self-expansive and planar-fixing screw (iCSP-Scr) consisting of reactive isocyanate (NCO) terminalized citrate-based polyurethane, proanthocyanidin modified hydroxyapatite (HAp) and water (with/without porogen) was developed and administrated in the bone-tendon gap. Instead of the "point to point" tendon fixation by traditional interface screws, along with the moisture-induced crosslinking and expansion of iCSP-Scr within the confined space of the irregularly shaped bone-tendon gap, the tendon graft was evenly squeezed into the bone tunnel in a "surface to surface" manner to realize strong and stable bone-tendon fixation via physical expansion, mechanical interlocking and chemical bonding (between -NCO and the -NH, -SH groups on bone matrix).

In this study, we developed a new liposomal formulation of DTX to reduce its toxicities, accompanying with the greatly improved antitumor activity. The DTX was encapsulated into liposomes in the form of hydrophilic glutathione (GSH)-conjugated prodrugs using a click drug loading method, which achieved a high encapsulation efficiency (∼95 %) and loading capacity (∼30 % wt).

Low-expression antigens, especially neoantigens, pose a significant challenge in immunotherapy for low immunogenicity pancreatic cancer. Increasing the tumor mutation burden is crucial to enhance the expression of tumor antigens and improve tumor immunogenicity. However, the incomplete intervention in DNA stability hampers effective elevation of the tumor mutation burden, thus reducing the probability of neoantigen.

However, the development of polymer-based artificial channels has been hampered due to the limitation on available models. In this study, we demonstrate the great potential of bottlebrush polymers as accessible and versatile molecular scaffolds for developing efficient artificial ion channels.

The Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway is involved in T cell differentiation and development and plays a major regulatory part in different stages of T cell development. A previous study by us suggested that prenatal exposure to staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB) changed the percentages of T cell subpopulation in the offspring thymus. However, it is unclear whether prenatal SEB exposure impacts the Hh signaling pathway in thymic T cells.
