Pseudo-Random Encryption for Security Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor Networks.

The security of wireless sensor networks (WSN) has become a great challenge due to the transmission of sensor data through an open and wireless network with limited resources. In the paper, we discussed a lightweight security scheme to protect the confidentiality of data transmission between sensors and an ally fusion center (AFC) over insecure links. For the typical security problem of WSN's binary hypothesis testing of a target's state, sensors were divided into flipping and non-flipping groups according to the outputs of a pseudo-random function which was held by sensors and the AFC.

Quantitation of low concentrations of polysorbates 80 in protein formulations by Coomassie brilliant blue.

Polysorbate 80, as pharmaceutical excipient and virus inactivating agent, is commonly used in the protein pharmaceutical industry. In this study, a method has been developed for the determination of low concentration of Polysorbate 80 in the presence of high concentration proteins (≤100 mg/ml) and excipients. This colorimetric method is based on the interaction of Polysorbate 80 and Coomassie brilliant blue, and suitable for quantitation of Polysorbate 80 in the range of 10-100 μg/ml.

Methods Cervical exfoliated cells were collected from 537 eligible women and were used for liquid-based cytology (LBC), p16/Ki-67 dual staining, and human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing. Background: Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is an efficient cytogenetic technology to study chromosome structure. Transposable element (TE) is an important component in eukaryotic genomes and can provide insights in the structure and evolution of eukaryotic genomes.

Results: A FISH probe derived from bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clone 299N22 generated striking signals on all 26 chromosomes of the cotton diploid A genome (AA, 2x=26) but very few on the diploid D genome (DD, 2x=26).

Purpose: To investigate the frequency of primary angle closure (PAC) and primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) in patients with retinal vein occlusion (RVO) based on a hospital population.

Methods: A total of 375 consecutive cases newly diagnosed with RVO by fluorescein fundus angiography at a single eye centre in Peking were reviewed. Gonioscopy was performed in all patients.

Transcriptome analysis reveals functional roles of nacreous protein N16 in prednisolone-induced osteoporotic zebrafish.

N16 is an active protein isolated and screened from nacre proteins. Our previous studies have shown that N16 exerted a good effect on osteoporosis caused by dexamethasone on female rats. Bioremediation of heavy metal polluted soil using metal-resistant bacteria has received increasing attentions. In the present study, we isolated a heavy metal-resistant bacterial strain from a Cd-contaminated soil, and conducted pot experiments to evaluate the effect of bacterial inoculation in soil on soil Cd speciation, rice grain biomass and Cd accumulation. We find that the isolated bacterial strain is a Gram-negative bacterium, and named as Delftia sp.

[Bioavailability of Silicon Fertilizer Coupled Water Management on Soil Bioavailability and Cumulative Control of Rice in Compound Contaminated Paddy Soils].

The effect of wet irrigation (CK), agronomic measure flooding (WF), instantaneous silicon fertilizer combined with flooding measures (FYsi), mineral silicon fertilizer combined with flooding measures (FKsi), and a mix of two kinds of silicon fertilizer combined with flooding measures (FYK) on the bio-availability of As and Cd in soil and the accumulation of As and Cd in rice were investigated by pot experiments. The results showed that the pH of the soils combined with flooding measures was increased by 0.12-0.

Although it has been studied in plant species, very limited data is available for cotton, the most important fiber and texture crop. In this study, we performed a comprehensive analysis of LTR retrotransposon families across four cotton species.

Effects of auxiliary atmospheric state parameters on the aerosol optical properties retrieval errors of high-spectral-resolution lidar.

A detailed assessment is carried out in relation to the influence of the uncertainties associated with the input auxiliary atmospheric state parameters on retrieving aerosol optical properties from high-spectral-resolution lidar (HSRL) observations. The study starts from a review of the main spectral structure of the Rayleigh backscattering followed by evaluating the temperature effects on a backscattering cross section of atmospheric molecules based on numerical simulation. It shows that the transmittance of the background interference filter should be taken into account, depending on the full width at half maximum, although overall temperature dependence is negligible.

Methods: A total of 60 puerpera of cesarean section were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each one. In the observation group, 2 cases were dropped out.

Preparative expression and purification of a nacreous protein N16 and testing its effect on osteoporosis rat model.

N16, a nacreous protein isolated from Pinctada martensii, is related to nacreous layer formation. Our previous study indicated that N16 showed dual regulatory effects by inducing osteoblast biomineralization as well as inhibiting osteoclast formation. In order to obtain large quantity of N16 for animal experiment and clinical trial, a fermentation and preparative purification method was established.

Fertility-Preserving Treatment in Young Women With Grade 1 Presumed Stage IA Endometrial Adenocarcinoma: A Meta-Analysis.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the different efficacies of various fertility-preserving therapies for grade 1 presumed stage IA endometrial cancer.

Methods: We searched the major online databases (PubMed, MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Ovid) and retrieved all the research on fertility-preserving treatment for young, grade 1 presumed stage IA endometrial adenocarcinoma patients since January 2000. We used the systemic evaluation of the Cochrane Collaboration to select the literature and merge the data we collected using R3.

Composition of legume soaking water and emulsifying properties in gluten-free bread.

Soaking of legumes results in the loss of macronutrients, micronutrients and phytochemicals. Fibre, protein and phytochemicals found in legumes exert emulsifying activity that may improve the structure and texture of gluten-free bread. The legume soaking water of haricot beans, garbanzo chickpeas, whole green lentils, split yellow peas and yellow soybeans were tested in this study for functional properties and use as food ingredients.

A half-wave plate (HWP) is a critical component for calibrating the gain ratio in polarization lidars. In this paper, the effects of a nonideal HWP on the gain ratio calibration measurements are analyzed. We focus on the ±45° method and the multi-rotation HWP method, which are the two main approaches for calibrating the gain ratio.

Visual performance after excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy for high myopia.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy, safety, predictability, and visual performance of excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) for myopia greater than -8 diopters (D).

Methods: Fifty-four patients (104 eyes) with myopia from -8D to -13D and cylinder up to -4D received surface ablation technique with the Allegretto wave version 1009-1 excimer laser to correct their refractive error. The patients were examined on days 1, 3, 7, and 14 and 1, 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively.
