Background: Cord blood (CB) is widely used in treating haematologic disorders due to its broad availability, tolerance to significant histocompatibility antigen disparities, and low incidence of chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). The cord blood transplantation (CBT) with anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG)-containing conditioning regimens shows promise in this regard.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of data from patients who underwent CBT at our centre from August 2003 to December 2022.
Secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) syndrome, a fatal disorder characterized by NK/T-cell deficiency, cytokine storm, and organ damage, is rare in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Ibrutinib, the first generation of irreversible Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has been the first-line therapy for CLL. As an off-target effect, it can also block IL-2 inducible T-cell kinase (ITK), which is essential in maintaining normal NK and T-cell functions.

However, post-allo-HSCT relapse remains a leading cause of mortality and therapeutic failure.
Methods: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of combining hypomethylating agents (HMAs) with Bcl-2 inhibitors in the treatment of AML/MDS relapse following allo-HSCT, we retrospectively collected data from 42 patients who experienced relapse between April 2012 and March 2022 at Peking University First Hospital.
Background: An effective urine-based method for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and prognosis of multiple myeloma (MM) has not yet been developed. Urine cell-free DNA (cfDNA) carrying cancer-specific genetic and epigenetic aberrations may enable a noninvasive "liquid biopsy" for diagnosis and monitoring of cancer.
Methods: We first identified MM-specific hydroxymethylcytosine signatures by comparing 64 MM patients, 23 amyloidosis (AM) patients and 59 healthy cohort.
Introduction: Teclistamab, the first approved B-cell maturation antigen-directed bispecific antibody for treatment of triple-class exposed relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, demonstrated deep, durable responses with a manageable safety profile in the pivotal MajesTEC-1 cohort (NCT03145181/NCT04557098). Efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics from the MajesTEC-1 China cohort are reported.
Methods: Patients received teclistamab 1.
According to the diagnostic criteria for human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8)-negative/idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (iMCD) proposed by Castleman Disease Collaborative Network in 2017, there is a group of HHV-8-negative patients with multicentric Castleman disease (MCD) who do not have symptoms and hyperinflammatory state and do not meet the iMCD criteria. This retrospective study enrolled 114 such patients, described as asymptomatic MCD (aMCD), from 26 Chinese centers from 2000 to 2021. With a median follow-up time of 46.

Yet, a detailed understanding of human host immune responses is still incomplete. Here, we applied RNA sequencing to 94 samples of COVID-19 patients with and without hematological tumors as well as COVID-19 uninfected non-tumor individuals to obtain a comprehensive transcriptome landscape of both hematological tumor patients and non-tumor individuals.

The microbiological diagnosis of infection for hematological malignancy patients receiving chemotherapy or allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) patients relies primarily on standard microbial culture, especially blood culture, which has many shortcomings, such as having low positive rates, being time-consuming and having a limited pathogenic spectrum. In this prospective observational self-controlled test accuracy study, blood, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) samples were collected from chemotherapy or allo-HSCT patients with clinical symptoms of infections who were hospitalized at Peking University First Hospital. Possible pathogens were detected by the method based on recombinant mannan-binding lectin (MBL) magnetic bead enrichment (M1 method) and simultaneously by a standard method.

While natural language processing (NLP)-based embedding techniques have emerged as powerful approaches, the application of multi-modal embedding feature fusion to predict human-herpesvirus PPIs is still limited. Here, we established a multi-modal embedding feature fusion-based LightGBM method to predict human-herpesvirus PPIs.

However, venetoclax dosing under drug-drug interaction with azoles remains controversial. Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is expected to guide drug dosage adjustments.

Despite being classified as favorable-risk by European Leukemia Net (ELN), CBF-AML patients have a 40% relapse rate. This study aims to analyze clinical characteristics and prognosis of CBF-AML, compare its subtypes (inv(16) and t(8;21)), and validate prognostic factors.

However, Graft-Versus-Host Disease (GVHD) remains a formidable complication, threatening patient prognosis. Recent research has indicated that decitabine (DAC), known for its hypomethylating properties may also exhibit immune-regulatory capabilities and a potential for reducing GVHD incidence and enhancing survival.

The results will contribute to the standardization of diagnosis and treatment on CDs. Based on the last 15-year retrospective real-world data from Peking University First Hospital (PKUFH), we reclassified and re-evaluated the clinical and pathological information of patients with pathologically suspected diagnosis of CD.

In this retrospective study, the ASCT group underwent consolidative ASCT after first-line therapy at 14 transplantation centers in China between January 2001 and December 2019. Data were collected over the same time frame for the non-ASCT group from the database of lymphoma patient records at Peking University Cancer Hospital & Institute.

This article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the application of allo-HSCT for AML and identify prognostic factors to enhance future treatment effect. This retrospective study collected data from 323 patients diagnosed with AML at Peking University First Hospital who underwent allo-HSCT between September 2003 and July 2022.

Method: One hundred two patients who received allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in our center were included in this study. Systemic biomarkers of ST2, IP10, IL-2Rα, TNFR1, and organ-specific biomarkers of Elafin, REG-3α, and KRT-18F in plasma were tested by ELISA.
