In this editorial, we comment on the article by Liu . Based on our analysis of a case report, we consider that early screening and recognition of primary nasal tuberculosis are crucial for patients undergoing treatment with tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi). While TNFi therapy increases the risk of reactivating latent tuberculosis, primary nasal tuberculosis remains rare due to the protective mechanisms of the nasal mucosa.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTumour immunotherapy represented by immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has greatly improved the overall prognosis of patients with malignant tumours, and is regarded as an important breakthrough in the field of medicine in recent years. ICIs have gradually become the core of tumour therapy and are increasingly used in the clinic. In order to achieve early clinical prediction and management of immune-related adverse events (irAEs), it is still necessary to perform further research on the mechanisms, risk factors, and predictors of irAE occurrence in the future.

Methods: Utilizing the think-aloud method, we captured spontaneous thoughts during rest from 38 diagnosed with depression, alongside 36 healthy controls and 137 healthy individuals. Through a comprehensive assessment of various dimensions of thought content, we compared thought content between individuals with depression and healthy controls, and between healthy women and men.
Previous studies in small samples have identified inconsistent cortical abnormalities in major depressive disorder (MDD). Despite genetic influences on MDD and the brain, it is unclear how genetic risk for MDD is translated into spatially patterned cortical vulnerability. Here, we initially examined voxel-wise differences in cortical function and structure using the largest multi-modal MRI data from 1660 MDD patients and 1341 controls.

Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors have been shown to effectively reduce LDL-C levels on a statin background. Additionally, several studies have confirmed the role of PCSK9 inhibitors in plaque regression and reducing residual cardiovascular risk in patients with ACS.

This paper reports the design, synthesis, and antibacterial activity study of pleuromutilin derivatives with 2-methyl-4-nitroaniline and 2-methoxy-4-nitroaniline side chains at the C22 position. The structures of the new compounds were characterized by H-NMR, C-NMR and HRMS. The inhibitory activity of the compounds against MSSA, pyogeniccoccus, streptococcus, and MRSA strains was determined using the micro broth dilution method.

TG tablets are the representative TwHF-based agents with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities for treating rheumatoid arthritis. Although the curative effect of TG is remarkable, the clinical application is limited by a variety of organ toxicity.

Reperfusion, an essential therapeutic approach, promptly reinstates blood circulation to the ischemic myocardium and stands as the most efficacious clinical method for myocardial preservation. Nevertheless, the restoration of blood flow associated with this process can potentially induce myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI), thereby diminishing the effectiveness of reperfusion and impacting patient prognosis.

In order to explore the characteristics of chemical components of atmospheric dust fall and the results of quality mass reconstruction and their sources, 57 dust fall samples were collected using the active suction method at the Sanjiadian State-controlled Ambient Air Station. The mass concentration of dust fall and its chemical components were measured, the characteristics of chemical components in atmospheric dust fall were studied, and the mass reconstruction of the main components of atmospheric dust fall was performed using particle mass reconstruction technology.

Although H. pylori is known to play a role in the development of GC, genetic factors also play a role in its onset and progression.

Prior neuroimaging studies have identified the association between self-reported rumination trait and the functional coupling among a network of brain regions using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). However, little is known about the underlying neural circuitry mechanism during active rumination in MDD.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTwo-dimensional (2D) magnetism and nontrivial band topology are both areas of research that are currently receiving significant attention in the study of 2D materials. Recently, a novel class of materials has emerged, known as 2D magnetic topological materials, which elegantly combine 2D magnetism and nontrivial topology. This field has garnered increasing interest, especially due to the emergence of several novel magnetic topological states that have been generalized into the 2D scale.

Here, we reveal a 2D novel combination of Weyl phonons - a Weyl complex composed of two linear Weyl nodes and one quadratic Weyl node.

However, the focus of this study was on the classification of Dirac phonons. To address the gap in the research on the topological features of 2D Dirac phonons based on their effective models, we classified the 2D Dirac phonons into two classes: without or with inversion symmetry, thereby clarifying the minimal symmetry requirements for enforcing 2D Dirac points.

However, not much is known about how health insurance policies, especially in Southwest China with a high incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), influence patients' prognosis. Here, we investigated the association of NPC-specific mortality with health insurance types and self-paying rate, and the joint effect of insurance types and self-paying rate.

Aberrant FGF19/FGFR4 signaling has been demonstrated to be an oncogenic driver of growth and survival in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). At present, the development of FGFR4-specific drugs has become a hotspot in tumor-targeted therapy research. However, no selective FGFR4 inhibitors have been approved by FDA so far.

A comprehensive evaluation of potentially effective harmonization strategies, particularly with specifically collected data, has been scarce, especially for R-fMRI metrics. Here, we comprehensively assess harmonization strategies from multiple perspectives, including tests on residual site effect, individual identification, test-retest reliability, and replicability of group-level statistical results, on widely used R-fMRI metrics across various datasets, including data obtained from participants with repetitive measures at different scanners.

Abnormally expressed or malfunctioning proteins may affect or even damage cells, leading to the onset of diseases. Proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) technology has been proven to be a fresh therapeutic strategy, superior to conventional small molecule inhibitors for the treatment of diseases caused by pathogenic proteins. Unlike conventional small molecule inhibitors that are occupancy-driven, PROTACs are heterobifunctional small molecules with catalytic properties.
