SYVN1, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, is characterized by its significant functions in regulating various biological processes, including molecular mechanisms related to gene expression, signaling pathways, and cell death, among others. Charge density wave (CDW) is the phenomenon of a material that undergoes a spontaneous lattice distortion and modulation of the electron density. Typically, the formation of CDW is attributed to Fermi surface nesting or electron-phonon coupling, where the CDW vector (Q) corresponds to localized extreme points of electronic susceptibility or imaginary phonon frequencies. Here, we propose a new family of multiple CDW orders, including chiral Star-of-David configuration in nine 2D III-VI van der Waals materials, backed by first-principles calculations.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of partial splenic embolization (PSE) in treating chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia (CIT) in patients with colorectal cancer who failed to respond to platelet growth factor therapy.

Reproducing human nervous systems with endogenous mechanisms has attracted increasing attention, driven by its great potential in streamlining the neuro-electronic interfaces with bilateral signaling. Here, an artificial aquatic autonomic nervous system (ANS) with switchable excitatory/inhibitory characteristics and acetylcholine (ACh)-mediated plasticity is reported based on the newly emerged organic photoelectrochemical transistor (OPECT). Under the modulation of spatial light and ACh, the system exhibits an immediate switch between excitation and inhibition, and many pulse patterns as well as advanced ANS functions are mimicked.

Proteasome inhibitors have been applied to anticancer therapy by accumulating toxic misfolded proteins. However, chemical inactivation of proteasome generates aggresome, a Vimentin cage-enclosed subcellular structure quarantining HDAC6-Dynein-transported misfolded proteins before the protein toxicants are degraded by autophagy.
