Background: Medical workers have been increasingly involved in emergent public health events, which can lead to severe stress. However, no standardized, officially recognized, unified tool exists for mental distress measurement in medical workers who experienced the public health events.
Purpose: In the present study, we propose the Global Health Events-Mental Stress Scale (GHE-MSS), as a revised version of the Impact of Event Scale-Revision (IES-R), for assessment of medical workers' acute mental stress responses within one month and their chronic mental stress responses within six months after major health events.
Purpose: The association between the process of postoperative pneumonia and lung cancer recurrence remains elusive in lung cancer surgery. Herein, the association between postoperative pneumonia and lung cancer recurrence was investigated, emphasizing the warning role of postoperative specific pneumonia in primary lung cancer resection patients.
Methods: The occurrence of postoperative pneumonia was assessed in 4-6 months (PPFS), 7-12 months (PPST), and lung cancer recurrence within 1 year (LRO) in 332 patients.

Purpose: To compare the function and life quality recovery in patients with fracture or arthritis treated with novel muscle training device (NMT) or conventional rehabilitation training (CRT) following surgery.
Patients And Methods: A total of 32 fracture patients were randomly divided into the NMT or the CRT groups.
The aim of the study was to analyze the characteristics of renal function in patients diagnosed with COVID-19. In this retrospective, single-center study, we included all confirmed cases of COVID-19 in a tertiary hospital in Guangdong, China from January 20, 2020 to March 20, 2020. Germanophosphates, as a young class of metal phosphates, have been less reported but might possess more diverse structural types and potential applications. Here, two one-dimensional (1D) alkali-metal germanophosphates (GePOs), namely, hydrogen hexakis(μ-hydrogen phosphato)digermaniumtrirubidium, HRbGe(HPO) (1), and caesium bis(μ-hydrogen phosphato)(μ-hydroxido)germanium, CsGe(HPO)(OH) (2), have been prepared by the solvothermal method. Compound 1 shows 1D [Ge(HPO)] chains along the c axis formed by GeO octahedra and PO tetrahedra, with Rb cations dissociated between the chains.

Here, we discover two new IR optical perovskites based on 1,4-diazabicyclo[2,2,2]octane, namely, (H2dabco)(PbCl3)2 (1) and (H2dabco)(H2PbBr6)·H2O (2). 1 and 2 crystallize in the noncentrosymmetric space groups P43212 and P63mc, respectively, displaying a broad transparent range with high transmission.

On this basis, referring to the formulation methods of water pollutant discharge limits used in the USA, the paper studied and assessed the discharge status of COD of the municipal wastewater treatment plants in the city, including the daily maximum and the monthly average discharge status, and came to the conclusion that the daily maximum discharge status met the first grade A class discharge standard (50 mg · L(-1)) required by the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB 18918-2002). Meanwhile, the assessment conclusion was obtained for the monthly average discharge status, and the conclusions were discussed.

As decreasing both enantiomeric excesses (ee%) of ligand Phe towards its D- and L-forms, the gelation ability of Phe-Cu(II) supramolecular metallogelator was found to be weakened and eventually disappeared, which likely resulted from the stereoselectivity of the ligand Phe. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic and/or pi-pi stacking interactions were also found to be essential for forming the metallogel.

The adsorption energies of possible species and the activation energy barriers of the possible elementary reactions involved are obtained in the present work. The major reaction path on Ni surfaces involves the O-H bond breaking in CH(3)OH and the further decomposition of the resulting methoxy species to CO and H via stepwise hydrogen abstractions from CH(3)O.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBased on the gradient-density functional theory, calculation results of methoxy adsorption on Au(111), Ag(111), Cu(111), Pt(111), Pd(111), Ni(111), Rh(111), and Fe(100) surfaces are presented, and a consistent picture for some key physical properties determining the reactivity of metals appears. These eight metals belong to two groups: either with filled d electrons (group IB) or with unfilled but more than half filled d electrons (group VIII). The calculated adsorption energies are quite in agreement with the experimental data as well as the previous theoretical calculation results.
