- After 10 years of monitoring filariasis transmission in Jiangxi Province, only a small percentage of townships (29.5%) and population (3.7%) were surveyed, showing a decrease over time.
- No cases of microfilaremia were detected in 8248 additionally tested individuals, nor were any filarial larvae found in over 103,000 dissected mosquitoes.
- Overall, out of nearly 700,000 people studied, only 667 were chronic filariasis patients, providing strong evidence that Jiangxi Province has achieved filariasis elimination as per Ministry of Health standards.
