Atherton-Todd reaction has been extensively applied to the synthesis of phosphates and phosphoroamidates. Under Atherton-Todd reaction conditions, dialkyl phosphites were probably transformed into diakyl phosphorochloridates. We have tried to use Atherton-Todd reaction to synthesize phosphate of salicylic-acid.
