The low incidence of combined hepatocellular cholangiocarcinoma (cHCC-CCA) is an important factor limiting research progression. Our study extensively included nearly three decades of relevant literature and assembled the most comprehensive database comprising 5,742 patients with cHCC-CCA. We summarized the characteristics, tumor markers, and clinical features of these patients.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of CVD awareness and mental health on health behaviors and evaluate the moderating effect of mental health on the relationship between CVD awareness and health behaviors among Korean Chinese workers.
Method: We used a cross-sectional design and convenience sampling of participants from Seoul in December 2021.
Canine pyometra frequently occurs in middle-aged to older intact bitches, which seriously affects the life of dogs and brings an economic loss to their owners. Hence, finding a key metabolite is very important for the diagnosis and development of a new safe and effective therapy for the disease. In this study, dogs with pyometra were identified by blood examinations, laboratory analyses and diagnostic imaging, and fifteen endometrium tissues of sick dogs with pyometra and fifteen controls were collected and their metabolites were identified utilizing a UHPLC-qTOF-MS-based untargeted metabolomics approach.

Characterization of the endometrial microbiome in healthy dogs and diseased dogs with pyometra remains unclear at present, however. In this study, dogs with pyometra were identified based on the clinical examinations, hematology examinations, vaginal smears and uterine histopathology.

Background: Slow transit constipation (STC) is a common intestinal disease with increasing incidence. STC results from various factors, such as the enteric nervous system and metabolic changes. As a classical formula of traditional Chinese medicine, Ji-Chuan decoction (JCD) has been extensively and effectively used in STC treatment, yet its pharmacological mechanism remains unclear.

Microbiota is believed to play important roles in systemic diseases, including cancers. In this study, 91 tumors, 21 oral and fecal samples in total were collected from dogs with CMTs, and 31 oral and 21 fecal samples from healthy dogs were collected as control.

This study aimed to determine the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of canine tumors diagnosed during the years 2017-2021. The results showed that canine mammary tumors were the most common tumors, and their relative incidence for 5-years-total was 46.

Recent advances in non-coding RNAs suggested that many long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are dysregulated in cancer tissues and play important roles in carcinogenesis. We aimed to further explore the mechanisms of Long Intergenic Non-Protein Coding RNA 313 (LINC00313)-promoted malignant phenotypes of osteosarcoma.

Methods: To comprehensively characterize the metabolic disorders of IPF, a mouse IPF model was constructed by intratracheal injection of bleomycin into C57BL/6J male mice, and lung tissues from IPF mice at 7 days, 14 days, and controls were analyzed by pathology, immunohistochemistry, and Western Blots.
Xihuang pill, an approved Chinese medicine formula (state medical permit number. Z11020073), is a commonly used adjuvant drug for cancer patients in China. Xihuang pill has a satisfactory effect in treating breast cancer in clinics, especially triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), which is the most aggressive type of breast cancer, and finite effective therapies.

We selected RNAseq data of 50 paired liver cancer samples from the Cancer Gene Atlas (TCGA), and then bioinformatics methods and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the correlation between PRIM1 and the clinical pathological stage of liver cancer. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (QPCR) was used to detect mRNA expression of PRIM1 in BEL-7404, BCL-7402, HepG2 and SMMC-7721 cell lines.

To investigate the performance and mechanism of Fe, Mn, and NH-N removal from groundwater by -MnO/zeolite nanocomposites, static batch experiments were conducted under different environmental conditions in a zero-oxygen atmosphere using SEM, TEM, Zeta potential, FTIR, and XPS techniques. The experimental results showed that the manganese-oxide-coated natural zeolite was -MnO, and Fe, Mn, and NH-N adsorption on the -MnO/zeolite nanocomposites could be best described with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir model.

Previously, microRNA-196a-2 (miR-196a-2) and miR-196a-3p were reported for its involvement in BMD. Herein, this study set out to identify the functional relevance of miR-196a in osteogenic differentiation in osteoporotic mice and explore the associated mechanism by establishing an OP mouse model.

Tree nuts are responsible for many cases of severe food allergies. The 7S seed storage protein vicilin has been identified as a food allergen in many kinds of tree nuts. The vicilin protein consists of an N-terminal low-complexity region with antimicrobial activity and a C-terminal domain that forms a trimeric structure that belongs to the cupin superfamily.
