The rapid proliferation of the halophilic pathogen Vibrio parahaemolyticus poses a severe health hazard to halobios and significantly impedes intensive mariculture. This study aimed to evaluate the potential application of gliding arc discharge plasma (GADP) to control the infection of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in mariculture. This study investigated the inactivation ability of GADP against Vibrio parahaemolyticus in artificial seawater (ASW), changes in the water quality of GADP-treated ASW, and possible inactivation mechanisms of GADP against Vibrio parahaemolyticus in ASW.

- Thermosensitive genic female sterility (TGFS) is a trait identified in a rice line (tfs2) that shows sterility in high temperatures and fertility in low temperatures due to mutagenesis.
- A mutation in the HEI10 gene, which is vital for crossover formation during meiosis, leads to meiotic defects in tfs2 under high temperature but restores proper crossover and chromosome segregation under low temperature.
- Interactions between HEI10 and proteins RPT4 and SRFP1 contribute to the aggregation of these proteins, which is linked to fertility restoration in tfs2, highlighting a novel mechanism related to TGFS.
