Postoperative complications in individuals with a prior history of COVID-19 infection have been insufficiently investigated. This study is conducted to explore the postoperative complications of prostate biopsy in patients following a COVID-19 infection. Data from individuals who underwent a prostate biopsy at a tertiary hospital in Taizhou city from 1 February to 15 November 2023 were collected, including a history of COVID-19 infection, a history of chronic disease, and postoperative complications of prostate biopsy.

In this study, we present the first demonstration that lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide vapor successfully etches aluminum from NbAlC MAX phase powders while concurrently forming NbOF anchors on NbCT nanosheet (NbCTNS) MXene, leading to the in situ formation of a NbCTNS/NbOF heterostructure composite.

To establish a molecular detection assay for DAAV for further epidemiological investigation and pathogenic mechanism. Here, we designed specific primers and probes according to the sequence characteristics of the newly discovered DAAV and then established a TaqMan real-time PCR method (TaqMan-qPCR) for the detection of DAAV.

The intestinal epithelial barrier can prevent the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms and food antigens to maintain a consistent intestinal homeostasis. However, an imbalance in this barrier can result in various diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease, malnutrition, and metabolic disease. Thus, the aim of this study was to select probiotic strains with epithelial barrier-enhancing ability in cell-based model and further investigate them for their improving effects on colitis mouse and weaned piglet models.

The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients hospitalized with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and low N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels. This study explored the association among first aid affect, work-related hardiness and self-efficacy of first aid, as well as the mediation role of work-related hardiness in airline cabin crews.
