Cassava is a crucial crop that makes a significant contribution to ensuring human food security. However, high-quality telomere-to-telomere cassava genomes have not been available up to now, which has restricted the progress of haploid molecular breeding for cassava. In this study, we constructed two nearly complete haploid resolved genomes and an integrated, telomere-to-telomere gap-free reference genome of an excellent cassava variety, 'Xinxuan 048', thereby providing a new high-quality genomic resource.

Background: Despite poor oral hygiene, the Baiku Yao (BKY) ethnic group in China presents a low prevalence of dental caries, which may be related to genetic susceptibility. Due to strict intra-ethnic marriage rule, this ethnic has an advantage in studying the interaction between genetic factors and other regulatory factors related to dental caries.

The distribution and vertical variation of phosphorus forms in sediments along Xiangxi River were analyzed with Hedley classification method, meanwhile the influences of physical and chemical properties of overlying and interstitial water on the release of phosphorus in sediment were discussed.
