Lanthanide-based NIR-II-emitting materials (1000-1700 nm) show promise for optoelectronic devices, phototherapy, and bioimaging. However, one major bottleneck to prevent their widespread use lies in low quantum efficiencies, which are significantly constrained by various quenching effects. Here, a highly oriented (222) facet is achieved via facet engineering for CsNaErCl double perovskites, enabling near-complete suppression of NIR-II luminescence quenching.

The purpose of this study was to compare the educational effects on nutrition knowledge of two teaching methods targeting adolescent male soccer players through learning online from WeChat account articles (WeChat group) or taking classroom courses (classroom group). The study investigates whether such teaching methods can improve self-efficacy and nutrition knowledge for athletes. A total of 41 U15 (age 15) youth male soccer players, 21 in the classroom group and 20 in the WeChat group, participated in the experiment by receiving the same nutrition education separately for 12 weeks.

A photonic scheme to generate a multi-frequency phase-coded microwave signal based on a dual-output Mach-Zehnder modulator (DOMZM) and balanced detection is proposed in this paper. The DOMZM driven by an electrical coding data modulates a coherent multi-wavelength light source (CMWL), and a balanced photodetector (BPD) demodulates the output of the DOMZM; as a result, a multi-frequency phase-coded microwave signal is generated. Experiments generate two two-frequency phase-coded signals: one is 5GHz/10GHz signal with a coding rate of 2Gb/s, and the other is 10GHz/20GHz signal with a coding rate of 4Gb/s.
