This study systematically investigated the direct photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) in ice under simulated sunlight without external reductants. It was shown that the Cr(Ⅵ) photoreduction was observed only in ice at near-neutral pH values but not in aqueous solutions. Cr(Ⅵ) at an initial concentration of 10 μM was efficiently reduced by 75.

To establish a predictive model for clinical pregnancy outcomes following the transfer of a single fresh blastocyst in vitro fertilization (IVF). 615 patients (492 in training set and 123 in test set) who underwent the first single and fresh blastocyst transfer in the first IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection cycle performed in fertility centre of Shenzhen Zhongshan Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital from July 2015 to June 2021 were enrolled in this study. Lysosome-targeting chimera (LYTAC) shows great promise for protein-based therapeutics by targeted degradation of disease-associated membrane or extracellular proteins, yet its efficiency is constrained by the limited binding affinity between LYTAC reagents and designated proteins. Here, we established a programmable and multivalent LYTAC system by tandem assembly of DNA into a high-affinity protein degrader, a heterodimer aptamer nanostructure targeting both pathogenic membrane protein and lysosome-targeting receptor (insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor, IGF2R) with adjustable spatial distribution or organization pattern. The DNA-based multivalent LYTACs showed enhanced efficacy in removing immune-checkpoint protein programmable death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) in tumor cell membrane that respectively motivated a significant increase in T cell activity and a potent effect on cancer cell growth inhibition.

To evaluate the endometrial immune microenvironment of patients with recurrent miscarriage (RM), a digital immunohistochemistry image analysis platform was developed and validated to quantitatively analyze endometrial immune cells during the mid-luteal phase. All endometrium samples were collected during the mid-luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. Accurate assessment of the carcinogenic potential of oral mucosal diseases can significantly reduce the prevalence of oral cancer. We speculate that precancerous stem cells (pCSCs) arise during the evolution of carcinomas based on long-term experimental findings, published literature, and the cancer stem cell (CSC) theory, wherein pCSCs exist in precancerous lesions and have characteristics of both CSCs and normal stem cells. This apparently contradictory feature may be the foundation of the reversible transformation of precancerous lesions.

Grape downy mildew (GDM) is a destructive grapevine disease caused by that occurs worldwide. In this study, we determined the characteristics of GDM epidemics and the grapevine canopy micro-climate in open-field, fungicide-spray, and rain-shelter plots during two constitutive years (2016 and 2017). It was found that rain shelter can significantly delay the disease occurrence by 28 and 21 days, reduce the epidemic phase by 28 and 21 days, and decrease the final disease index by 82% and 83%.
