Solid-state polymer electrolytes (SPEs) with high ionic conductivity, a wide voltage window, and an ultra-stability electrolyte/electrode interface are essential for practical applications of solid lithium-metal batteries but particularly challenging. The key to overcoming these long-term obstacles lies in the rational design of the Li+ solvation-desolvation behavior in SPEs. Herein, we propose an electric-dipole coupling ion-dipole strategy to modulate the Li+ solvation structure and enhance Li+ desolvation kinetics.

Herein, we report a hydrogen-bonded supramolecular hybrid composed of a cobaloxime complex and a covalent organic framework (COF) that achieves photocatalytic overall water splitting. The designed COF features ternary units and dual linkages, which induce asymmetric linkers. Upon photoexcitation, this asymmetry facilitates directed electron transfer and spatially separated redox sites, resulting in a long-lived charge-separated state.

Polyamide 66 (PA66), a globally attractive high-performance plastic, is hindered by its poor fire resistance, which triggers excessive smoke and dripping. In this work, we introduce a novel halogen-free, thermal insulating flame-retardant for PA66, modified by cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and phosphoric acid (PA) to form a spider web-like nano composite CNC/A/P, by improving the thermal stability and inhibiting the droplet phenomenon of PA66. This high self-extinguishing flame retardant owns a 56.

The Hedgehog Signaling Pathway plays an important role in cancer development and chemotherapy resistance. However, whether the pathway functions depend on the metabolic reprogramming of cancer cells has not been well studied. In this study, we found that the expression level of Gli1, a key transcription factor downstream of the Hedgehog Signaling Pathway, is significantly increased in patients with pancreatic cancer resistant to gemcitabine neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

Andrograpalides A-N (1-14), fourteen previously undescribed ent-labdane-type diterpenoids, together with a previously undescribed naturally occurring diterpenoid (15) and two known analogues (16-17), were isolated from the leaves of Andrographis paniculata. Their structures were unambiguously elucidated via extensive spectroscopic analysis, electronic circular dichroism analysis, and X-ray crystallographic studies. Structurally, compounds 1-8 and 16 are rare cases of 19-nor labdane-type diterpenoids with an unusual C carbon skeleton.

Predicting the patient's response to anticancer drugs is essential in personalized treatment plans. However, due to significant distribution differences between cell line data and patient data, models trained well on cell line data may perform poorly on patient anticancer drug response predictions. Some existing methods use transfer learning strategies to implement domain feature alignment between cell lines and patient data and leverage knowledge from cell lines to predict patient anticancer drug responses.

The rapid enrichment of anaerobic ammonia oxidation (anammox) bacteria (AnAOB) is challenging owing to their slow growth rate. Substrate supply strategies influence the AnAOB yield and anammox performance. In this study, a feeding strategy for low nitrogen strength with constant substrate concentrations and a hydraulic retention time decreasing over a gradient was investigated in an up-flow sludge blanket reactor.

The excitation/inhibition (E/I) balance in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) is a dynamic equilibrium maintained by the concerted efforts of excitatory glutamatergic neurons and inhibitory γ-aminobutyric acid neurons (INs). The medial dorsal nucleus (MD) of the thalamus provides abundant pyramidal glutamatergic neural (PNs) projections to the PFC and regulates the E/I balance within the PFC. In schizophrenia, an imbalance in the E/I ratio in the PFC, along with reduced thalamocortical connectivity, has been observed.

Heterogeneous Fenton technology is effective in degrading residual pesticides in soil, but the reduction of Fe(III) in the mineral structure presents a bottleneck. This study combined rice straw with Schwertmannite (Sch), ferrihydrite (Fh), and magnetite (Mag) via a hydrothermal process to obtain iron oxides-hydrothermal carbon composites (Sch@HTC, Fh@HTC, and Mag@HTC). Poor-crystallized Sch and Fh, which were more capable of accepting electrons compared to well-crystallized Mag, exhibited obvious phase transformation to highly active Fe(II)-mineral (humboldtine) via the combination of oxalic acid, an intermediate product, with reduced Fe(II), while Mag was hard to achieve.

The application of aqueous zinc metal batteries is impeded by dendrite growth and rampant side reaction. Herein, a highly entangled zwitterionic hydrogel of l-carnitine/polyacrylamide is proposed for constructing the highly entangled polyacrylamide network that could form a high-speed channel for ion transport during charging and discharging processes. The interconnected polymer structure promotes uniform distribution of Zn, thereby effectively inhibiting dendrite formation.
