Antiadhesive surfaces have become important for both scientific research and industrial applications, leading to the development of coatings that resist adhesion and smudging.
The newly introduced silica/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanocomposite coating (SPNC) combines robust features such as high hardness (3.07 GPa), excellent adhesion, and thermal stability (up to 400 °C), making it a versatile option.
SPNC also possesses qualities like high optical transparency, flexibility, resistance to bacteria and chemical corrosion, and is designed for scalable production, suggesting its potential for use in challenging environments.
